Refer to the Error Analysis Norms tables in appendix H of the Technical & Interpretive Manual before using this hand scoring form.
Tables H.1–H.10 provide error analysis norms for Form A; Tables H.11–H.20 provide error analysis norms for Form B.
For each subtest, find the column for the “Last Item Administered” that is closest to the student’s highest item attempted. If the student’s
highest item attempted falls in between two columns in the norms table, use the lower of the two.
Fill in “Items Attempted” and “Average # of Errors” using the data in the appropriate “Last Item Administered” column. Sum the student’s num-
ber of errors in each error category up to the “Last Item Administered,” since that is the last item for which there is complete error analysis data.
Weakness (W): Student’s number of errors is greater than the average number of errors.
Average (A): Student’s number of errors is equal to (or within the range of) the average number of errors.
Strength (S): Student’s number of errors is less than the average number of errors.
