    Biography

    My name is Amariah Smith, I was born in Castro Valley, California but was raised
    in Hayward, California for half of it and then moved to Atwater/Merced, California
    as of now. I am 17 years old and I value my education. Growing up I didn't have
    much and was always told that my education was the most important thing. As a
    senior in high school, who was a freshman when COVID hit I learned many things.
    I slacked off because of COVID and didn’t think it would affect me, but four years
    later I was wrong. I have learned and grown so much from everything that I have
    been through and without the obstacles thrown at me in life I don’t know where I’d
    be. As a Class of 2024 graduate I can confidently say that my education was as
    important as people have said. Going to college to be an Ultrasound Technician is
    something I want to pursue. In my future I see myself working as hard as I possibly
    can to be someone I’ve always needed in my life.
