Roles and Responsibilities in ABROAD Organizations:

 Preparation of HSE plan specifying the safety and health standards, practices
and risk controls for all construction projects and plants. Assist engineers and
supervisors in preparation of job safety/hazard analysis, Hazard Identification
and Risk assessment (HIRA)

 Establish an HSE system relevant to business strategy and develop specific


safety policies, procedures and programs including but not limited to.
 Thorough implementation of Fire Protection Programs as per NFPA codes and
standards
 Sound understanding of fire prevention theory and techniques; Expert

applicable standards, monitor and report on compliance with the health, safety
and fire aspects of the operating conditions contained within Legislation.
 Carry out accident, incident and near miss investigations; contribute to the
formulation of proposals and initiate Corrective action and preventive action
(CAPA) to prevent re-occurrence
 Ability to lead reporting of the occurrence of an occupational injury/illness, near
miss, or property damage and facilitate incident investigations to determine how
and why these failures occur. Guide site to perform a thorough, effective
incident investigation including root cause analysis, 5-why analysis and
development of effective corrective action implementation system
 Issue and keep records of all injury reports and ensure safety statistics are
documented, maintained and analyzed.
 In conjunction with the Training Coordinator develop and devise
implementation plans for health, safety & environmental training for all staff
and contractors.
 Identify and develop control plans for hazards which exist and manage
environmental remediation projects as required to maintain compliance with all
applicable standards, regulations and Law.
 Reviewing & editing of company safety program to ensure compliance with the
requirement.
 Plan and manage environmental and/or safety programs.
 Maintain zero level of major / minor accident within site operation.
 Negotiate with managers and operators to try to eliminate conflict between
production and safety considerations.
