Some college friends of mine are visiting your area son for a week’s touring holiday.

They
would like to travel around and learn about your local area and its history.

Can you tell me about some of the places they could visit? What’s the best way to travel
around car, bike or coach?

Thanks, David.

My Email:

Hi David! Thanks for your email.

Here in Necochea, there’re a lot of places where your friends can visit. They’ve the Miguel
Lillo’s park where they can find an ice cream shop, restaurants and a night-concert where
popular artists or bands go. Also they’ve the other park called “Los Pinos” which, btw, is next
to the Miguel Lillo’s park. It’s amazing. In this park there’re a bar and a train which they can
ride on to explore the park inside, or if they want they can ride a bike or walk inside both
parks.

If they don’t like this idea or they just want to go to somewhere else, they can go around the
city. Here there’re a lot of shops of different kinds of stuff like clothe shops, comic shops,
restaurants, etc. But the place they wouldn’t want to miss visiting would be the local-museum,
that, besides of talk about historical, biological and geographical stuff, it talks about the history
of Necochea, about its beginnings and important events. If they want to learn about the
history of our city, this is probably the best place to visit. If I were they, I would go by car, but
there’s the option of walking, too.

And the last place I’ve in mind is, more than a turistic place, a place to spend time, a relaxing-
place. I’m talking about the beach. When it’s summer, it’s very, very hot here in Necochea. So
the best place to spend time alone or accompanied is in the beach, with the sea and sand.
Even so it doesn’t have to be relaxing. If you are with friends, you can play something there.
The best way to go there is by car, but they can also go walking. If this is the case, please wear
shoes or something ‘cause walk on the sand is like walk on lava.

Well, this are the best places that at least I remember. Probably I’ll see them here soon so I’ll
visit and greet them.

Take care, Manuel Garcia.
