Greetings from the Handicraft and Carpets Sector Skills Council (HCSSC)!
The council would like to take this mail as an opportunity to give you a brief introduction
of Handicrafts and Carpet Sector Skill Council (HCSSC). Incorporated in 2014, HCSSC is
a recognized awarding body of the National Council for Vocational Education and
Training (NCVET) and is jointly promoted by Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts
(EPCH), Carpet Export Promotion Council (CEPC) and National Skill Development
Corporation (NSDC) under the aegis of the Ministry of Skill Development and
Entrepreneurship (MSDE) and Ministry of Textiles, In-line Ministry of HCSSC,
Government of India.
HCSSC is the apex body for skill development in Handicrafts and Carpet sector. Currently
the Council has already trained and certified approx. 3.5 Lakhs trainees across India in
various skill development schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojna
(PMKVY), State Skill Development Missions, and National Urban Livelihood Mission-
NULM.
As part of our efforts to create value for people and organisations involved in our sector,
we are exploring the opportunity to work along with relevant international partners.
Skilling and Upskilling Programs: We propose to organize joint skilling and upskilling
programs that would benefit participants from both countries. These programs would
cover key areas like Carpets, Ceramics, Fashion jewellery, Glassware, Woodware,
Stone craft, Metalware, Paper mâché, Hand crafted textiles, Hand crocheted textiles
etc.
We would be honoured to discuss this proposal further at a time convenient for you. We
propose scheduling a meeting to explore how we can tailor this collaboration to meet our
mutual goals. We look forward to the possibility of working together to make a positive
impact on the skilling landscape and knowledge exchange between our countries.
Yours Sincerely,
