Report - Ecological Creativity – Group 1

VIBGYOR HIGH, Goregaon

We, the team of Ecological Creativity of Group 1, interviewed two entrepreneurs who owned
a business enterprise. Our first interviewee was Mr Vijay Kumar Sarvaiya, a fifty-year-old
successful entrepreneur who has a flourishing windmill business of supplying renewable
energy to several households. He explained about their sustainability plans which included
planning for solar energy, and generating power from water bodies. Our second interviewee
was Ms Rashmi Jadeja, a forty-two-year-old who runs a small-scale business in baking. She
handles her work independently with some assistance from her daughter. She gave details
about how she tries to minimize the environmental impact by incorporating practices like
reusing moulds, minimising waste and reducing water usage, and their future plans for
ecologically friendly packaging.

Our group leader, Kevin, recorded both of the interviews, while Xerxes and Riddhima
worked on gathering information and preparing questions for the same after thorough
research and discussion. After the videos were taken, our Tech in charge, Vvikhyaat helped
to edit the clips by combining them, adding subtitles, and editing out parts that were not
needed.

The interview with Ms Rashmi Jadeja was held on 28th November, 2023, and the interview
with Mr Vijaykumar Sarvaiya was recorded on 29th November, 2023. Arsh Jain was
interviewed at school, Vibgyor High, Goregaon and Mr Vijay Kumar Sarvaiya was
interviewed in his office which is located in Mumbai, India. Before the interviews, we sought
due permissions for the usage of photographs and video recordings with the interviewees, and
both the interviewees agreed to the same.

We ended the interviews by thanking the entrepreneurs for their valuable time and their
efforts to give specific details about their future plans and their business visions.
Furthermore, our team was very grateful that we got to interact to such inspiring,
hardworking and creative personalities, and learnt valuable lessons about ecological
creativity and environmental responsiveness from them.
