Experiential Learning in a
Communicative Classroom
Join us for a fun-filled day of English teaching and learning activities for young
learners. This training will provide valuable insights into methodology and
rationale for a user-friendly program designed specifically for young learners
which follows the Cambridge YLE syllabus.
Participants will have the opportunity to engage in interactive learning
activities and gain an understanding of how to support students in using
English functionally and communicatively. This training aims to help educators
enhance their teaching strategies and establish a strong foundation for
students' English language skills.

 Main Trainer

Todd Cordy holds a bachelor’s degree in

Modern Languages and both the TEFL and
CELTA qualifications. He has enjoyed teaching a
range of students from kindergarten through to
adult learners, in general, academic, CLIL,
business, and ESP English in Germany, Poland,
Thailand, China, and Indonesia.
He is currently the Team Leader for Mentari
Assessment Cambridge Assessment English
speaking exams, and the Head of English for Mentari Teachers Academy
and Mentari’s Curriculum and Training division. His publication titled
‘Rainbow English’, was released in 2014, followed by the 2nd edition In
January 2023. He has also written the English-language practice series
for very young learners named ‘OWL Series – English’, and is the series
editor and co-author for the Primary ELT ‘Rise Up!’. These series have
been published in cooperation with ASTA Ilmu Publishing, a division of
Mentari Group.
