Godlonton Family Reunion 2022

July 29 – August 1

Friday, July 29th - Arrival anytime. We will have a bonfire/weiner roast for

Supper. We will supply the buns, smokies & condiments; we ask that each

Family supply a side dish, or a salad or dessert.

Saturday, July 30th - The day is free for visiting & getting to know each other.

There will be a variety of different lawn games available, along with a few

Organized games for all ages. The plan for supper is smoked brisket,

yummmm! Once again, we will supply the meat, and ask that each family

supply either a side dish, or salad or dessert.

Sunday, July 31st – There will be golf tee times in the morning for those who

Choose to golf. There will be some of us, that stay around the yard to

Once again enjoy each others company. We are scheduling a photographer

For later afternoon to take photos of the entire group and individual

Families. This supper will be the best one yet, as Jim is doing a Pig Roast!

Again, each family please supply a side dish, or salad or dessert.

Monday, August 1st – Sadly, this is the day we all say good-bye. Everyone is

welcome to stay and visit as long as they wish.

*** Breakfast & Lunches are still being discussed. I will update that later.
We are so excited for this reunion! We do ask that if possible each family give
$25 to go towards all the essential items, plates, cups, utensils, water, pop, etc.

Also, if possible, please either bring or send photos ahead of time so I can get
copies made to have on display. We would also love any copies of genealogies that
each family may have. If you have any family movies or want to put pictures
together in a movie, we would love to show them on the outdoor screen at night.

If anyone has any food allergies or concerns, please let us know. Also, we know
that there are at least a couple people that have birthdays this weekend. Please
let us know who you all are, so we can be prepared with cake and ice cream.

There is lots of room for trailers or tents but if you prefer to stay at a hotel, I
know there are a few Air BnB’s in town or Lethbridge is only 20 minutes away.
They did just announce the Air Show in Lethbridge the same weekend, so traffic
may be a little congested as you pass the airport, but it’s usually not to bad.

We want this to be a great experience for everyone, so if there is anything during

the days that you want to go do or see please feel free to do it. I suspect our
biggest gatherings will be around supper and the evenings. We plan on the fire
going every night and a lot of visiting then for sure.

I must let you know that Magrath doesn’t have a liquor store. So, if you will want
any alcoholic beverages for the weekend, you will need to bring them with you or
stop in Lethbridge as you go by on your way here.

For those who wish to golf, please let me know right away so that I can make sure I
have enough tee times set aside. The course is an 18 hole course, please let us know
whether you want 9 or 18 holes. Also, once I know, I can get the rates and pass
them on to you.

Pictures on Sunday; we would like descendants of each of the 4 brothers and 1

cousin to each wear a certain color of shirt. This I hope will give an idea of how
diversified how group is. Here are the assigned colors:

James - White
John (Jack)– Light Yellow
George – Light Green
Thomas – Red
Stanley – Light Blue
