Heave-ho!
The Ice Bucket Challenge, a
fund-raiser in the fght against ALS
(a.k.a. Lou Gehrigs Disease) has
literally gone viral, and yesterday
it hit Glasgow: more specifcally,
in the parking lot of Nemont where
employees of both the Glasgow and
Scobey offce took the challenge.
Chuck Schultz was the frst brave
soul to dump a cooler full of ice water
on his head; his father died from
ALS 14 years ago. As of Tuesday,
The ALS Association has received
$22.9 million in donations over the
last three weeks

Putz, Jr. (Augutst 25,
1925 September 23,
2012) August 23-25th in
Glasgow.

Wayne enjoyed doing with his family and friends in
and around the area. Feel free to come and celebrate
with those who knew Wayne and Shirley. Please bring
your memories, stories or jokes to tell. Wayne was well
known for his quick wit and humor for every occasion.
Saturday, August 23rd, 6:30 p.m. A no-host
dinner at the Gateway with dancing to follow. Wayne
was a bartender for many years at the Gateway. He
and Shirley shared many a dance back in the day
at this establishment.
Sunday, August 24th, 9:00 a.m. Mass at St.
Raphaels Catholic Church. Wayne grew up in this
Parish and was an alter boy. Tis will not be a funeral
Mass but a celebration at the regular weekly Mass.
Sunday, August 24th, 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. Picnic at
Westend Shelter Building in Fort Peck: Food will be
furnished. If you wish, bring your favorite dish to
share and defnitely bring your own adult beverages.
Fort Peck Teatre at 7:00 for those wishing to take
in A Grand Night for Singing.
Monday, August 25th, 11:00 a.m. Committal
Service at the Highland Cemetery in Glasgow,
ofciated by the Reverend Shirley Putz. Lunch
reception will follow at noon at St. Raphaels Parish
Hall. Once again, family, friends and community
members are welcome to attend.

Glasgow, MT passed on
August 12, 2014 at the
Valley View Nursing Home
in Glasgow.
Funeral service will be
held on Tuesday, August 26,
2014, at 10:00 a.m. at the
Bell Mortuary in Glasgow.
Interment will be at the Highland Cemetery in Glasgow.
Bell Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Gladys was born in Plentywood, MT on October
27,1933, to Nels & Daisy (Whitish) Tompson, and lived
in the Glasgow and Plentywood areas most of her life.
She is survived by four daughters: Linda (Super) of
Gilette, WY Evelyn (Graham) of Avondale AZ, Debbie
(Hanson) of Prescott Valley AZ, Connie (ULku) of
Tempe AZ, and one son Harold of Glasgow MT. She
also leaves 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren
and 3 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by
2 sisters-Dorothy of Froid MT, Irene of Vancouver WA,
4 half-brothers, Melvin and Eddie of Plentywood; John
of Bozman, Rick of Belgrade; one half sister Mabel of
Medicine Lake and one sister-in-law Mickey of Billings.
We all love you Mom & Grandma.
