    Wrong Gear Starts
    Many technical publications, including the 1990 Nissan factory service manual, show an incorrect governor
    assembly illustration. The inaccuracy is in the direction of the primary valve.

    The proper assembly of the primary valve is with the two ‘flats’ facing outward. The spring goes between the
    valve and the outer retaining plate.
