NURSING STUDENT HANDBOOK AND POLICY

ACKNOWLEDGMENT
The School of Nursing (SON) Handbook and policies guide students through
the program. Students are held responsible for the contents of this handbook
and policies. Ignorance is NOT an excuse for deviating from any policies or
procedures included.

Students are required to read the SON Student Handbook and policies and
return this form by the established “last day to drop courses with a 100%
refund” deadline according to ECU’s academic calendar for the spring semester
to the School of Nursing office. This form needs to be turned into the nursing
office via email or in person no later than the deadline.
NOTE:
Failure to return this signed form within the allotted time may result in your
removal from the program.

I have read the ECU School of Nursing Student Handbook and understand the
contents contained therein. I will abide by the policies and procedures outlined. I
understand that the policies contained in the current handbook are effective
immediately and apply to all students enrolled in any nursing course, including
Independent Study courses. I also understand that changes may occur to
policies and procedures outlined in this handbook, and within the program. I
understand that I will be notified of these changes in various ways, to include,
but not limited to, ECU email, verbally, through Blackboard announcements,
and posted notifications on our hall bulletin boards, and that I am responsible
for these changes.
