STATION 1
Have someone from your group to do the following. Then, answer Activity #1.
Secure the drawing paper to avoid moving by putting short strips of MASKING TAPE at the four corners. Make sure that the paper is
placed straight on the board.
Place the T-SQUARE close at the right edge of the drawing board.
Now, get the 30 degree x 60 degree TRIANGLE. Place the triangle on top of the blade of the T-square with the vertical edge on the
left.
With the left hand pressing the T-square and the triangle against the drawing board, draw the line upward.
Draw two vertical lines using the triangle. Remove the triangle and the t-square. Now you have two vertical lines perpendicularly
connected on a horizontal line.
Now get the ERASING SHIELD. Find a hole (butas) which the other vertical line will fit in. Place it over the second vertical line, then
use eraser. Use the erasing shield to avoid erasing the horizontal line while removing the second vertical line.
Activity # 1
Identify the drafting tools or materials being described by the following. Write your answer on the space provided before each
numbers.
____________________1. It is used for FASTENING THE DRAWING PAPER on the drawing board to avoid moving.
____________________4. It is used when MAKING HORIZONTAL LINES and guiding the triangles.
____________________5. It is used to PROTECT THE rest of the DRAWING WHEN ERASING unnecessary lines or smudge
____________________6. It is used to DRAW VERTICAL LINES OR INCLINED LINES along with the T-square guiding it.
____________________7. A PLANE SURFACE OR TABLE to which paper can be fastened for drawing.
STATION 2
Read first Activity #2. After reading, play and watch the video on the laptop. Then, answer Activity #1 in your notebook.
Activity # 2
From the video, match Column A with Column B. Write the letter of your answer on the space provided each numbers.
Column A Column B
________1. Used when drawing arcs and circles. A. Needle Point Leg
dividing lines and arcs into desired equal parts B. Pen Leg
________3. The part of the compass that you put at the center
STATION 3
Take a pencil. Look for its LEAD (itim na material na nasa gitna ng pencil). It shows dullness right?
Align the horizontal line of the protractor to the horizontal line drawn in the drawing paper.
Find the 30 DEGREE mark on the protractor. Mark the center of the protractor and the 30 degree using your pencil.
Using a triangle, connect the center mark and the 30 degree mark on the drawing until you make an angle which measures 30
degrees.
Use again the protractor and place it over drawing. Align the horizontal line with that of the protractor. The point of the angle
should be at the center of the protractor.
Activity #3
____________________4. The dark center part of the pencil made up of graphite and clay which makes the mark on the
paper.
STATION 4
Use the TRIANGULAR SCALE to measure the sides of the triangle below. Use inches for measurements.
Divide each measurements by two (2). Then draw a similar triangle by the measurements you get after dividing it to two. Name the
drawn triangle as REDUCED DRAWING.
Back to the original measurements. Now, multiply each measurements by three (3). Then, draw a similar triangle by the
measurements you get after multiplying it to two. Name the drawn triangle as ENLARGED DRAWING.
Activity #4
____________________2. The tool used for reproducing a reduced or enlarged drawing to some regular proportions.
STATION 5
Use the TAPE RULE to measure the perimeter around the box. (Gamitin ang tape rule paikot sa buong box.) Use inches. Take note of
the measurements.
Now, measure the height of the box. Then, the length and the width of the box.
Activity #5
ASSIGNMENT. Identify the twelve (12) different drafting materials or tools that can be found in the puzzle.
