1. Who are eligible to register for this event

o Students who are pursuing diploma/ Engineering / Arts & Science
2. How many members can be in a Team maximum?
o 3 members

4. HOW TO REGISTER:
o Only team leader need to register who will get access with login id and
password.
o Team leader should login in the same portal, update his details, also
details of team members & submit Abstract as per format provided in
portal.
5. WHETHER STUDENTS HAVE TO GIVE OPTION CHOOSING SDG PROJECTS OR HACKHATHON
PROJECTS OR BOTH?

Students have all the following choices:

o Students have the choice to apply only SDG Projects.

o Students have the choice to apply only Hackathon Projects.
o Students have the choice to apply both for SDG Projects and Hackathon Projects.

SDG PROJECTS REGARDING:

o Students can submit student projects of their own under any one of the 8
themes.
o After submission of Abstract, the same will be scrutinized by a team of
experts for acceptance and you will get an email confirmation from
visai@veltech.edu.in. If you have any queries, you can email to us with your
application number as Reference for correspondence.
o You must make payment on line through the website –
www.veltech.edu.in/visai2024 @ your Login within 3 days of receipt of
acceptance mail from us.
o After the payment is made you must work on idea and make the prototype /
video demonstration ready and present before the panel of jury on 23rd and
24th February 2024 for which you and your team members must be
physically present at Vel Tech.
FOR HACKATHON PROJECTS REGARDING:
o Students has to choose any one of the problem statements given by
industries. For details on problem Statements given by Industries such as
Ashok Leyland/Mahindra & Mahindra/Viruksa/Turbo Energy etc, students
should go through go through Problem Statement details, given in website –
www.veltech.edu.in/visai2024
 o As Problems are well defined there will be no scrutiny. Students should
make the payment on line through the website –
www.veltech.edu.in/visai2024 and submit the abstract also.
o On getting payment and abstract we shall organize 2 online sessions with
Industry experts. This gives the rare opportunity to interact with industry
experts for the students. These sessions will be mentoring sessions that
help students in better understanding of the problems, modify their ideas,
matching with the expectations of the industries in getting the best
solution, a WIN-WIN for both students and the industries.
o This gives exposure to all the students to get the feel of Placements, a
preview experience of placement cum Interview/ a real time exposure
unmatchable with a rich exposure, as you will be facing similar challenges
in real time situations later in your career.
HOSTEL ACCOMMODATION REGARDING: –
Please let us know while registering itself whether you need Hostel
Accommodation well in advance. Allotment will be first come First serve basis.
ON LINE PAYMENT REGARDING:
This time all payments will be only through online. We have made a provision for
making online payments only in the website www.veltech.edu.in/visai2024 @ your
login.
