BAB 1. INTRODUCTION
The Internet service is a high-speed service based on MPLS VPN technology with lastmile

fiber optics, thereby providing the best service quality and network security. Additionally

There are various methods of communication. The only method is CWDM (Coarse

Wavelength Division Multiplexing), a WDM (Wavelength Division Multiplexing) technology

which has a wider channel distance than previous WDM technology. This CWDM method is

applied as a development in the data transmission process to speed up data transfer and

increase bandwidth. Apart from using fiber optic and CWDM methods to communicate,

internet services also use switches as devices to support the service. Where the Switch

device is placed on the user's side and configured by providing VLAN and IP Address

according to the required allocation. In this case the author focuses on analyzing the

installation results of fiber optic cables and the advantages of the CWDM method as well as

the results of testing switch devices by monitoring via web speedtest and producing a

bandwidth of 50 Mbps.

Check the drawings for the floor to be worked on.Make sure it is already
approved. Lighting approval material will submitted to Project Management &
Construction Management .After we get an approval, we wil lrelease PO to
supplier & estimate delivery schedule. Preparation of ground rod, cable, clamp,
isolator, and work tools needed, quantities and sizes in accordance with the RKS.
In the installation of the Fiber optic work, coordination is carried out with
structural works due to the penetration of concrete floor sandwalls.

BAB 6. STANDARD WORK METHOD

A. Installation Drawings Plans for the placement of all Fiber optic

equipment that will be installed and its service facilities, such as Box
control, ODP and Switch hub, important technical data of any
equipmen Notify the Consultant in writing at least 24 hours before the
date of execution of the work.

B. Recapitulation or calculation of the number of components required

include:

1) Recapitulation of materials and prices.

2) Power summary or current chart schematic.

3) Recapitulation of labor and costs.

C. The fiber optic cable used for the ICT Hangar installation uses a single
mode cable with 24 cores and is a type that has good insulation,
making it easier to install and repair installation into the installation
pipe (HDPE).

D. Installation Pipe

All fiber optic installations are inserted into HDPE pipes (Sub duct)
with a diameter of 32 mm or 40 mm with a standard pipe thickness of
PN 10 so that the conductors are safe from mechanical impact,
besides that the conductors will be isolated and easy to maintain if
damage occurs during repairs.

BAB 7. STEP OF WORK

A. Fiber Optic Cable Installation

- This installation process is carried out by granting work orders to

technicians, surveys field, checking the location, preparing the
tools to be used, cable installation, cable jointing, average
measurements signal power in ODF and OTB, core patching,
configuration, test commissioning, labeling, and making minutes.

- Field surveys need to be carried out to find out the conditions of

the area where the installation will be carried out so that it can be
used what type of cable will be used and what components the
user will need.

- Before starting to pull the fiber optic installation cable, install

protective pipes at all fiber optic installation points.

- The first cable installation is carried out namely fiber optic cable
from the existing location to ODP location. Type of fiber optic cable
used namely single mode 24 cores. The length of the cable drawn
according to shop drawings. The length of the cable cannot be less
because can cause the signal not to reach the user.

- Jointing the FO cable with the existing process is carried out after
the fiber optic cable installation is complete. This jointing process
is carried out between the fiber optic cable from the existing fiber
optic cable in the direction of the ODP hangar. Jointing is carried
out in the position of the existing fiber optic cable using a joint
closure and then closed using a control box. The fiber optic cable
used has a capacity of 24 cores. The existing fiber optic cable has
a capacity of 6 cores.

- Checking Average Signal Power Standardization of the average

signal power produced, namely a minimum of -10 dBm and a

maximum up to -25 dBm. measurement of average signal power

using OPM (Optical Power Meter).

- Jointing fiber optic cable with pigtail The next process is jointing
the fiber optic cable which has been successfully pulled into the
room server (indoor) with pigtail on ODP device. Jointing process
adjust the number of cores on the Fiber optic cable used.

BAB 8. QUALITY CONTROL

Requirement as per "RKST MEP" :

a) Cable fiber optic Approval Material

b) Fiber optic Installation Inspection and Test Program (ITP) attached.

c) Test equipment should be calibrated.

d) Valid calibrate certificate should be submitted perform test.

BAB 9. INSTALATIONS TEST

Testing fiber optic installations using an Optical Power Meter (OPM). Optical Power
Meter (OPM) is an important equipment for power measurement in fiber optic
communication systems. The way OPM works in carrying out attenuation
calculations is:
1. Turn on the OPM by pressing the power button.

2. Install the two connectors on the TX adapter on the OLT or other optical
device and the adapter on the OPM.

3. Adjust the wavelength in the OPM printed on the OLT by pressing the
button with the lambda symbol, until the value is the same.

4. So from the OPM displa y you can know the power received by the OPM
