Accomplishment Report on 2023 Pambansa At Buwan ng Pagbasa

Vis-à-Vis English Month Celebration

I- INTRODUCTION
Reading is one of the very important elements of education. Understanding what we are reading is a key
and is certainly the main point of teaching reading in class. It is a fundamental function in today’s
society; it is a vital skill in finding a job and is important because it develops one’s mind.
It is a tool a person gets information from written letters and words. A person can read using sight or
touch, such as when a vision-impaired read Braille-method. It is actually a complex, multi-part process.
Reading in classroom takes many forms, but it is often used as way of introducing grammar or vocabulary
items.
However, one of the biggest problems today is the reading skills of the learners.
As Department of Education implemented an Order to give in depth focus to the Learning Recovery of
Literacy and Numeracy of the learners, Bululawan National High School carefully planned and honestly
conducted implementations in order to give response of the said D.O. and for the welfare of the learners
as well.

II- IMPLEMENTATION
This School Year, the BNHS has implemented the PBAP in a month celebration. The objective
of this program is to develop and enhance the reading ability of the learners in diverse way of
implementation. Here, they could be enriched and developed themselves in reading with
comprehension.

There were activities to be followed to do so such as having Reading Ambassador every week,
Mystery reader, Read-A-Thon, Book Buddy, Dugtungang Pagbasa, Reading Challenge,
Interpretative Reading, Poster Making and Search for Best Reading Pantry.

Below is the Matrix of the Program.
