INTERVENTION/ RECOVERY PROGRAM

SY 2022-2023

After two (2) years of staying in their houses, the learners are back to school from the modular/blended learning
modalities to face to face classes. Too unwise to judge but the issue of bridging the learning gaps among learners became
the focus of every academe for them to be prepared in the competencies that they need to master to be promoted or better
learned for the next topics in the lessons. Students as perceived struggle in school not just in academics but also in the
psychosocial aspects. Several assessments, interviews and observations were done and the school finally introduced
several programs to cater learners needs/concerns in the academe and the development of the persons social and emotional
aspects. As Carol Dweck popularized the term GROWTH MINDSET where learners can develop their talents through
effort, strategy and guidance. Therefore, to deal with some students struggle in school at the early days in the school year
may create a proper mind set for learners to become effective learners.
The school identifies the following programs for the LORENZOs:
Academic:
1. Reading Program
(Reading Time, Reading School & Project CNR for Frustration Readers and Peer Assisted Reading Strategy for
Independent & Instructional Readers)

2. Project Searchs & Project SAVE

Health & Wellness:

2. Wellness

Psychosocial:
Career & Guidance Program
4 Ps_ Parents Parenting in a Pandemic Program

The implementation of the different programs started from the Orientation of Parents during the Brigada Eskwela with
consultations as partner in school. Assessments, intensive classes of the basic topics in English and Mathematics were also
given to the learners by their teachers in the early days so they will be prepared for the complex inputs ahead. With the aid
of the different ongoing programs, it is expected that the learners can cope with the new lessons and be adjusted with the
new trends and pacing of the lessons.

as;
1. Video Presentation (Alphabets and Sounds)

2. R-and R (Repetition and Rhyme)
Repetition makes books predictable, and
young readers love knowing what comes
next. Reading passages or stories over and
over allow the students to pick up on speech
patterns and familiarize them with the story
and begin to build their reading skills.
Rhyming words teach them to listen to words
and their sounds as well.
3. Story Talk
Talking about what you read is another way
to help the students develop language and
thinking skills. This will help develop their
vocabularies, link stories to everyday life, and
use what they know about the world to make
sense out of series.
4. Read to me
It’s equally important to listen to the students
as they read to us. They thrive on having
someone appreciate their developing skills.
