Basic Programming,

The REM 5 EV can be programmed remotely by using a telephone

line and using the DTMF tones of a telephone. Keys 0-9 are used
with the character * (beginning) and character # (end) of the string.
The typical format of an order is:

“ #< command code >< Details of the command >*# ”

(1) Call the REM using the telephone number corresponding to the lift.

(2) Once connected, put the REM into Config mode by entering the
code below.

Enter: *1 #

The REM will respond with a single tone to confirm that the system
is ready to receive information.

(3) To program the telephone numbers of the Rescue Centre. These

are the numbers which REM automatically dials in the event of a
Trapped passenger alarm.

Enter: # 0 <Telephone number> * #

Enter: # 1 <Telephone number> * #

If there is no response from the first number REM will redial using
the second number.

A maximum of 30 characters can be used for the telephone number.

A “ # ” can be used to insert a pause in the dial string if required.

Note: The programming of the second number is not an option. It is

necessary to successfully configure the REM-EV. However, there is
nothing which prevents that the same number being entered twice if
only one number is being used.
