 Case report

A man is dead after being stabbed in the left side of his body. According to the

witness account, the victim tried to fight but unfortunately, he was stabbed, also

according to him, the victim was his board mate, Benjie. When the witness saw it, he

immediately called the police to respond, but when the police arrived, he was already

dead. The victim was identified as Benjie Cadondoy, a twenty-year-old tenant in the

said area. A wound on the head and three stab wounds were found on his body,

which could have been the cause of his death.

Due to the testimony of the witness and the evidence gathered by the police,

the police arrested a suspect, Jacint Mar Balate, at his house near the scene of the

crime. Also recovered was the knife used by the suspect at the crime scene with a

length of 26.5 cm, a blade length of 14 cm and a handle length of 12.5 cm. It was a

kitchen knife of the victim that he took on the day of the crime.

 According to the suspect he just wanted to steel some stuff

that belong to the victim but then the victim fights back that’s

why he just stabs.
