Background and Justification

Technology is a powerful tool that can support and transform education in many ways, from making it
easier for teachers to create instructional materials to enabling new ways for people to learn and work
together. (Purdue University, 2019)
As the technology starts to develop and grow in the 21st century, inventions like laptops, mobile phones,
printers and computers have been developed and enhanced for the benefit of students, teachers and other
people. Educational institutions also cope with the advancements by requiring printed outputs. But not all
students have a printer at home. Therefore, printers in schools are an essential necessity for students and
faculty members.
Students have been using printers for their requirements and projects thus, it is a must-have item of
students, specially in schools. Not all students have their own printers so they rely on computer shops to
print their outputs, even though there is a printer at school, students would wait in a long line that would
waste the time of the student specially during break time. Having extra printers at school, would help
reduce the waiting time of students and teachers and would gradually help students to lessen their
expenses for their printing.

General objective
The general objective of this project proposal is to help the staffs especially students of Saint Louis
University Laboratory Senior High with their printed paper works and to help them in educational
purposes. This aims to help them by providing printers for every strand that they can use when they need
to print their outputs like notes, PETA’s and etc. the student and staffs can sav money and time since they
don’t need to go in computer ad printing shops just to print their outputs.
