Scoring Scheme Description

Objective The students will be able to solve quadratic equations by

extracting square roots.

Test Item Solves quadratic equations by extracting square roots. (10

points)

Scoring Criteria

2 points for the student who can solve quadratice equations by

using extracting square roots and showing his/her solutions.

3 points for the student who can describe quadratic equations

and solve by extracting square roots.

2 points for the student who can illustrate quadratic equations by

reflecting it to real life situation.

1 point for the student who can demonstrate their understanding

by solving quadratic equations using extracting square roots.

2 points for the students who can give examples by showing their
solvations and explain how they get that result.
