Verify isolation before
starting any work
Saudi Aramco requires that all equipment and systems are
completely isolated before starting any work. This protects
personnel from the unplanned release of hazardous materials.
General Instruction 6.012, “Isolation, Lockout and Use of Hold
Tags” outlines the procedure to follow when applying lockout
and isolation processes.

Isolation must be verified to ensure that it has been properly
implemented.
To verify isolation, workers must:
• Confirm with the supervisor that all isolations are in place.
• Confirm that the system is isolated before applying a personal lock.
• Test equipment, or witness a test, to ensure isolation is effective.
• Confirm with the supervisor that it is safe to begin work.
• Stop work immediately if the isolation is incorrect or not
effective, and notify your supervisor.
Work supervisors must
• Confirm that the isolation method is agreed upon and executed
by competent person(s).
• Confirm that the system is isolated from all energy sources.
• Check that no stored energy or other hazards remain.
• Confirm that an isolation system is correctly used.
• Check that personnel apply their own personal lock(s).
• Witness the isolation test.
• Confirm that it is safe to begin work.
• Confirm isolation effectiveness during work execution.

‫حتقق من العزل قبل البدء بأي عمل‬

‫دائما من أن العزل قد مت بشكل صحيح‪.‬‬

‫يجب التأكد ً‬
‫للتأكد من العزل‪ ،‬يجب على العاملني‪:‬‬
‫•التحقق من املشرف على العمل من اكتمال عزل كافة مصادر الطاقة‪.‬‬
‫•التأكد من عزل النظام قبل وضع القفل الشخصي‪.‬‬
‫•اختبار املعدات‪ ،‬أو حضور االختبار‪ ،‬لضمان أن العزل فعال‪.‬‬
‫•التأكد من املشرف على العمل من إمكانية بدء العمل بأمان‪.‬‬
‫•إيقاف العمل فو ًرا إذا كان العزل غير صحيح أو غير فعال‪ ،‬وإبالغ‬
‫املشرف على العمل‪.‬‬

‫يجب على املشرفني على العمل‪:‬‬ ‫تحقق من العزل قبل‬

‫•التأكد من أن طريقة العزل متفق عليها ومن تنفيذها من قبل مختصني‪.‬‬
‫•التأكد من عزل النظام عن كافة مصادر الطاقة‪.‬‬
‫البدء بأي عمل‬
‫•التحقق من عدم وجود طاقة مخزنة أو مخاطر أخرى‪.‬‬

‫•التأكد من استخدام نظام العزل بشكل صحيح‪.‬‬ ‫قبل البدء بأي عمل‪ .‬فالعزل يحمي املوظفني من تسرب املواد‬

‫•التأكد من أنه من اآلمن بدء العمل‪.‬‬
‫•التأكد من فعالية العزل أثناء تنفيذ العمل‪.‬‬
