Universal Design for Learning (UDL): I have designed a google form. They have to work in small
groups to answer the questions. Working in small groups allows for each student to have help they
may not get working alone. Using a google form there is no wrong answer I have it set up where they
use short answer. By allowing this type of answer I am able to see what they understand and what
they do not. This also allows for students who may not know how to pick an answer can say it in a
different way. Using this form, I have created student engagement and allowed for different
representation for them.
Lesson idea implementation: This lesson will be used to see where my students are before we test. I
plan to use this lesson as an informal assessment.
We will start with a warmup then move into our lesson. Here we will discuss who the American
Indians were in Georgia. I plan to have a PowerPoint for the students to follow along with the lecture.
During the PowerPoint we will have a videos and pictures to help keep them engaged in the lesson.
When we are almost done, I will have the students get into groups of 4. Here I will ask the students
Who they think the American Indians are. What were their customs? How did they survive? We will
then have a class discussion/debate on who they were and how they think Georgia handled the
Indians.
After the class discussion we will move onto our google form. Here I plan to give them 15-20
minutes to answer the questions in their groups. This will conclude the lesson. In the next class we
will go over their answers to see where they are on this topic.

Reflective Practice: I really like using the google forms. There are a lot of different options for the
classroom. The lesson I have created allows for an informal assessment which allows for me to see
where my students are so as a teacher, I can see who needs help and who doesn’t. By doing this I can
create a lesson plan for all my students. I love letting students work in groups. This allows for a more
laid-back environment which in turn helps students feel freer to share their ideas. I could easily make
this form a quiz or test. I could even use this as a warmup. Here I used it as an assessment/ticket out
the door. To enhance this project, I could have the students create a google form for them to teach the
class/group.
