    Marshmallow Magic
    Objective:
    Discuss how a change in pressure affects the volume of gas at a
    Constant Temperature.

    Materials:
    Respiratory Model Manila Paper
    Marker Activity Sheet

    Procedure:
    1. Observe the model of the respiratory system.
    2. Pull the rubber beneath the respiratory model and observe what
    happens to the balloon inside.
    3. Return the rubber slowly to its original position while observing the
    balloon inside the model.
    4. Push the rubber beneath the respiratory model and observe what
    happens to the balloon inside.
    5. Return the rubber slowly to its original position while observing the
    balloon inside the model.
    6. Answer the guide questions on both your paper and Manila paper.

    Guide Questions:

    1. What happens to the volume of the balloon inside the model as you
    push the rubber beneath the model? Why?

    2. What happens to the volume of the balloon inside the model as you
    pull the rubber beneath the mode? Why?
