Income-generating activities are those activities that can be undertaken by an organization to

raise revenue to enhance the project or enhance school finances. In many public secondary schools,
there is a need to have additional activities which generate revenue for the school.
This results in the implementation of the DepEd Order No. 26 Series of 2011 which contains
the Guidelines on the approved Project Proposal. The guideline was established to ensure that
entrepreneurial and productivity skills are developed among the school children and concurrently the
project would lead to gaining funds for the institution’s facility and program enhancement.
Public schools constitute the largest proportion of schools in the country. The government is
responsible for the payment of teachers' salaries and provides subsidies in terms of textbooks and
school feeding (Onsomu, E, Mungai, J, Oulai, D., Sankale, J. and Mujidi, 2004). It is evident that the
school also needs to raise funds on its own for fast school development.
Consequently, income-generating projects are a great support for the improvement of the
school and the student’s development when it comes to entrepreneurial and productivity skills.
III. PURPOSES AND OBJECTIVES

1. To raise funds for the procurement of teaching resources, notably a television to aid visual and
auditory learning and help explain complex concepts that may be hard to describe. Additionally, a
flash drive, to store interactive games and lessons, providing a fun and dynamic learning experience
for students, and lastly a speaker to help the students hear videos or lectures when having a program.
2. To provide handouts and activity sheets that contribute to the improvement of learners’ skills and
are vital for enhancing the effectiveness of the learning process.
3. Generate funds for Grade 8 future programs and facility improvement.
IV. PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The proposed income-generating project focuses on the reproduction of activity sheets and
handouts. Through this income-generating project, the revenue generated can be used for Grade 8
TLE’s upcoming programs and the improvement of the Grade 8 TLE Faculty’s facilities and
amenities. The income-generating project will always start at the beginning of every school year and
will end by the end of the school calendar.
V. MECHANICS AND IMPLEMENTATION

(a) Pre-implementation
Prior to the implementation of the income-generating project, a Project proposal will be submitted to
the School Principal for screening and approval. The students involved will undergo an orientation for
the proper dissemination of tasks and information.
(b) During the implementation
The implementation of the project will start by purchasing the printer, bond paper, and ink.
To boot, the reproduction of activity sheets and handouts will be during recess or vacant time for the
Teachers and Learners. An income report will be submitted weekly for record keeping.
(c) Post implementation
At the end of every school year, a terminal report will be submitted to evaluate the result of the
income-generating project.
VI. EXPECTED OUTPUT

At the end of every school year, the project is expected to generate a tentative net income amounting
to ₱19, 800.00 based on the projected gross sales of the production of handouts and activity sheets. The
generated income for the entire school calendar will be used for funding the Grade 8 TLE programs and
projects for the next school year.
