Description of Incident:

Savita initiated a text communication with colleague Poonam Sharma regarding Diwali bonus after Piyush
had informed all staff to keep bonus information confidential. She intended to find out how much Poonam
received in bonus. After some communication exchange, Savita became upset as she thought the bonus
amount she received was unjustified.

Piyush was informed about the communication exchange and discussed with Savita.

This incident between Savita and Poonam resulted in a disruption in their working relationship, as well as
with other team members. This also affects the trust between Piyush and Savita.

Yes – Piyush had instructed her to remain confidential regarding bonus, however Savita did not remain
confidential and seeked information from Poonam.

Cynthia.
• If it is mentioned to maintain confidentiality, Savita must follow accordingly. If there is a concern,

• Repeated action may lead to further disciplinary action, up to and including termination.
