1. PURPOSE

Materials: Al 99.7, AlSi 3.5, AlSi 3.5-2 aluminum ingots (for casting process).

The purpose of this document is to define the technical supply conditions of aluminum ingots
destined for cooking casted products.

• Casting process is carried out with a permanent mold by pouring the molten metal into a
permanent metal mold, under gravity and under centrifugal pressure.

3. MECHANICAL – QUEMICAL PROPERTIES

Alloy with Good mold filling capacity, high resistance to thermal cracking, non-hardenable and good
corrosion resistance.

4. DIMENSIONAL TOLERANCE

• Individual ingot between 10 - 12 kg ± 1.

• The ingots must be palletized with a weight between 900-1200Kg and 750 mm x 750 mm
pallet sizes. In addition to this the material must arrive with a metal strap.

5. SURFACE QUALITY

Components must be:

• Free of plugs and pores on surfaces.

• Homogeneous coloration.

6. CONDITIONS FOR RECEPTION

• Supplier must provide certificates that indicate the compliance of the requirements
specified on this document.
• Supplier must provide a sample of each aluminum pallet (batch of molten aluminum) with
the following characteristics:
o Approx diameter: 58 mm
o Approx thickness: 17 mm
o 1 machined face flat - Not concave, not convex
o Smooth surface finish without surface interruptions
o Batch number (batch of molten aluminum)
o Reference picture
