INTRODUCTION : hyacinth

Good morning, sir. We are Team Girl’s Pack with members Hyacinth Apostol, Kelly
Mourada, Dayn Penera, Lyra Reyes, and Stephanie Tugade, and the tourist destination
that we were assigned to make 3 different tour packages with 3 days and 2 nights
itinerary is the province of Ilocos namely Ilocos Sur and Ilocos Norte. To start it off,
Ilocos Norte and Ilocos Sur are 2 of the 4 provinces that consist the Ilocos Region. It
encompasses the northwestern coast of Luzon Island and is known for its historic sites,
beaches and its well-preserved Spanish colonial and Asian architecture.

For our three tour packages we came with 3 different themes: package a is heritage
themed, package b is adventure themed, and package c is nature t hemed. And in all of
these tour packages, both the provinces of Ilocos Norte and Ilocos Sur will be included
in the itinerary.

PACKAGE A

Introduction: hyacinth

For our heritage themed tour package, tourists can take a trip down memory lane
walking the streets of Ilocos Norte, taking in the splendor of old churches and bell
towers. Tourists can also visit various museums to really get to know the history and
culture of the province. And given with the distinct Ilocano cuisine, a wondrous food trip
is a must-not-miss experience too. And since Ilocos Sur is a history buff’s paradise—it is
home to not one, but two UNESCO World Heritage Sites for you to enjoy! One of which
is the Calle Crisologo in Vigan, the province’s capital, is filled to the brim with ancestral
homes, dedicated museums, and other historical landmarks that tell a colorful story of
life in the Spanish colonial period.

and infused with Ilocano hospitality. Your stay would be one of warm service, tranquility, and

decades old, this marvelous national cultural treasure truly stands the test of time. It is also
known as the most outstanding example of earthquake baroque architecture in the Philippines.

wonderful!

indigenous Ifugao groups of the northern Philippines, particularly the Isneg and Apayao. There
are artifacts illustrating how the people have wrested a living in this region, as well as a replica

DAY 2 TOUR

Have breakfast at the hotel restaurant; Pack-up and check-out from the hotel (7:00 - 8:00
AM)

Morauda:

TRAVEL PERIOD: Ilocos Norte to Ilocos Sur (8:01 - 9:30 AM)

Morauda:
Reyes: Welcome to Ilocos Sur, one of the most historically rich locations in the country that
mixes the colorful Ilocano culture with colonial Spanish heritage. Known for its centuries-old
architecture, Ilocos Sur is the perfect destination for history buffs and curious travelers alike.
Ilocos Sur is world-famous for not one, but two UNESCO World Heritage Sites that let you travel
back in time. UNESCO describes Ilocos Sur’s capital city, Vigan, as “the best-preserved
example of a planned Spanish colonial town in Asia.” Meanwhile, Santa Maria Church boasts
one of the most memorable architectural designs of the whole country, capturing the European
Baroque style and adapting it to the Philippine environment.

Arrival & check-in at the hotel: HOTEL VENETO DE VIGAN (9:31 - 10:34 AM)

Morauda:

Reyes: Hotel Veneto De Vigan offers elegant and comfortable accommodation with free WiFi
access throughout the property. It operates a 24-hour front desk and provides complimentary
parking space on site.

St. Paul Metropolitan Church (10:35 - 11:30 AM)

Morauda:

Reyes: Vigan Cathedral, also known as the Metropolitan Cathedral of the Conversion of St.
Paul the Apostle is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Vigan, Ilocos Sur, Philippines. The church as it
stands now was completed in 1800. The original structure was built in 1574 upon the command
of the Spanish founder of Vigan, Juan de Salcedo. It was a mere chapel then, made of wood
and thatch. In 1641, the chapel was replaced by a church. The church also serves as the seat of
the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Nueva Segovia and is a part of the UNESCO World
Heritage Site declaration for the Historic Town of Vigan in 1999.

Lunch period: Kusina Felicitas (11:31 - 12:59 PM)

Morauda:

Reyes: Kusina Felicitas is a relaxing place to enjoy a full line of authentic Ilocano dishes
complemented by an equally delicious Asian cuisine. Satisfy your hunger with our signature
dishes such as Pinakbet, Bagnet, and Sinanglao.

Syquia Museum (1:00 - 4:00 PM)

Morauda:

Reyes: The Syquia Mansion is a wonderful example of bahay na bato architecture prevalent
during the later Spanish Colonial Era. The typical structure consisted of a ground floor made of
stone or brick and mortar with the upper floors of wood. No cement, no hollow blocks, no steel
bars. No blueprints either. This mansion was built using a craftsman’s expert eye and traditional
building materials. The original structure was built in 1830 by the Ang Co family and was given
as dowry by Justo Angco on his daughter Estefania’s marriage to Gregorio Syquia in 1875. Over
time, Gregorio and Estefania added to and altered the mansion to fit their growing family, and so
also did their descendants.

Plaza Salcedo (4:01 - 8:00 PM)

Morauda:

Reyes: Plaza Salcedo is both the city’s central attraction as well as its town center. Much like
any old Spanish settlement, Plaza Salcedo is surrounded by all of the places you’ll need to visit
in Vigan: the town hall, regional hall, local shopping center, and the church. Now, it is also
surrounded by fast-food diners, making it every Vigan visitors’ go-to place.

From Plaza Salcedo heading back to Hotel Veneto De Vigan (8:01 PM - onwards)

Morauda:

DAY 3 TOUR

Breakfast: Hotel Veneto De Vigan (7:00 AM – 8:29 AM)

Morauda:
Travel period: From Hotel Veneto De Vigan heading to Calle Crisologo (8:30 AM - 8:40
AM)

Morauda:

Calle Crisologo (8:41 AM - 11:30 AM)

Reyes: As one of the best-preserved heritage sites in Vigan, Calle Crisologo boasts a unique
atmosphere that would take you back in time. Heritage houses built centuries ago line up both
sides of the street, depicting Spanish-influenced architecture preserved for several centuries.
And with the site closed to vehicles, tourists can fully enjoy Calle Crisologo’s cobblestone street.
Many of the houses that line Calle Crisologo offer even more beyond their architectural marvels.
Some have opened their houses to tourists who want to find out more about their stories, while
others have been turned into retail stores that sell souvenirs and local delicacies. And of course,
there are many locations around the street that are perfect for a quick photo!

Lunch Period: Lampong Restaurant 11:31 AM - 12:59 PM

Morauda:

Reyes: Lampong’s Restaurant is located on the ground floor of one of the Bahay na Bato
structures that line Calle Crisologo. Its interior, while quite snazzy, is pretty tight. I think it can
only seat about fifteen people before everyone’s elbows start battling for space. Aside from the
usual Vigan specialties like bagnet—which they have numerous versions of, like Kare-Kareng
Bagnet, Dinakdakang Bagnet, and so on and so forth they also serve typical Filipino fares like
silog, sizzling plates, pasta and noodles, sandwiches, burgers, shakes, and coffee.

Crisologo Museum (1:00 PM – 2:30 PM)

Morauda:

Reyes: Crisologo Museum is an ancestral house turned into a museum by the Crisologos, who
happens to be one of Vigan’s most prominent political family figures. The museum is a few
walks away from the Vigan Cathedral. It is famous not only because of the family name
attached to it but with its wide range of memorabilia as it also houses historical and political
remains of what shaped the Ilocos province and the whole Philippines.

Padre Burgos House (2:31 PM - 4:00 PM)

Morauda:

Reyes: The Burgos House is one of the historical landmarks in Vigan, a city declared as a
UNESCO World Heritage Site. The museum displays material artifacts of the Ilocano,
Kankana-ey, and Itneg ethnolinguistic groups. These include wooden plates and bowls, burial
coffins and chairs, musical intruments, weaponry, weaving implements, texticles, jars, trade
ceramics. Historical artifacts include old books and historical records, Burgos memorabilia, and
the 14 oil paintings of the 1807 Basi Revolt* by Don Esteban Villanueva. The paintings were
commissioned by Spanish authorities to discourage uprisings, but some interpreted them to
promote hope for future victory.

Casa Rica Souvenirs (4:01 PM - 5:00 PM)

Morauda:

From Casa Rica Souvenirs heading back to Hotel Veneto De Vigan, back to Manila (5:00
PM – 11:00 PM)

Morauda:
