This instruction manual introduces operation methods and matters needing

attention of Vertical Form Fill Seal Packing Machine (E&M&ED-series) for you. In

order to operate this machine in a better way, operation staff and related persons

should study and do operation training. Correct use, safe operation, periodical

maintenance, cleaning and overhaul can guarantee machine normal operation. So

please read the instruction manual carefully before operation. In this way, it can

ensure the machine perform its functions properly.

【Chapter 1】Installation Condition and Notice


1-1 Installation Condition

● The machine must be installed on rigid, horizontal ground.

● Do not expose the machine to water vapor.

● Do not install the machine in a corrosive or dusty environment.

1-2 Notes
● When install and adjust the height of machine, please adjust the four feet, and let

the machine in level position.

● Make sure the machine is connecting effectively to the earth, in case of leakage or

electrostatic generation.

● After installation, please check related connected parts are tight.

● Keep the surrounding environment clean before starting the machine.

● The operator should wear protective clothing and safety helmet before working.

● Please close the door when the machine is running, and do not touch any running

parts.

● Any modification on the machine is not permitted, as it may lead to machine

breakdown and human injury.

【Chapter 2】Mechanical properties

2-1 Summary

● Mechanical principle

After film-pulling, the film is delivered into bag former through arrays of roller, and

film-pulling once is a bag length. The bag former will change the film’s form

gradually into tubular bag type, and then the vertical and horizontal sealing roller

(heat seal) seal the bag simultaneously to form a closed space. Meanwhile the

measuring equipment has been ready and discharged material which has been

weighed according to needed weight. The material dropped into bag through bag

former. After a repeated film-pulling, horizontal (vertical) sealing, material filling,

finally the horizontal sealing knife cut the made bag to complete once packaging.

 Applicable bag type: Pillow bag, Gusset bag, M type bag.

2-4 Advantages
 Program memory for various products packing
This machine can pack different kinds of products and it can save 30 kinds of
products’ packing data. As long as find “product number” in the catalogs, the
machine will carry out related product package work immediately. Because the
packing parameters corresponding to the product number is in memory. Input the
“product number”, and the packing parameters will be shown. Resetting the packing
parameter is unnecessary.

 Auto identification function

Such as: Non-film alarm, Code printer ribbon exhaustion alarm, Material clamp on

horizontal sealing roller alarm, Automatic stop function when doors are opened and

so on functions can be detected by machine.

 Safety protection function

The machine has 10 kinds of auto protection functions, which can effectively protect

the safety of operator and machine from being damaged.

【Chapter 3】Safe Operation


3-1 Notes and Warning
● Please confirm the installation position of “Emergency stop switch”, so that it can

work in emergency.

● Before operate the machine, please check each driving parts to ensure the machine

is in normal status.

● Before operate the machine, make sure to confirm nobody or obstacles are in

machinery dangerous area.

● When the machine is in operation, any forms of machine adjustments should be

strictly forbidden.

● When the machine is in operation, please close the door, and forbid to touch any

machine position which may cause injure or harm.

● Be cautious that the sealing roller and printer are in high temperature, so as not to

be scalded.

● Before maintenance for the machine, power must be completely cut off.

● When malfunction occurs, please refer to the alarm information on touch screen to

eliminate the malfunction as soon as possible, and find out the reason to avoid the

same malfunction happening again.

● Please put on protective clothing and safety helmet to prevent accident.

● Take good care of Human Machine Interface touch screen, do not get it scratched

or heavily polluted.

3-2 Danger signs


 The symbol in figure 3-2.1 warns the danger of electric, please operate

carefully.

【Chapter 4】Use of Machine and Parameter setting
4-1 Pneumatic Components Adjustment
 Filter regulator lubricator adjustment

Through the filter regulator lubricator, the compressed air will be conveyed to each

pneumatic component of packing machine. The filter regulator lubricator is used for

controlling the air pressure, removing the water and particle, and lubricating the

cylinder piston. Please fill up the lubricator and adjust the air pressure, ensuring air

pressure value reach 0.6Mpa, as is shown in figure 4-1.1.

 Air pressure regulator adjustment

As is shown in figure 4-1.2, film pulling cylinder and film releasing brake cylinder

(only in H4230) are equipped with independent air pressure regulator. The air

pressure regulator can reduce the air pressure of cylinder. Before using the machine,

please check the air pressure value first. It is better to set the value at 0.2Mpa.

brake and pressure regulator, while other models are not available)

 Exhaust throttle valve adjustment

As is shown in figure 4-1.3,exhaust throttle valve is used for controlling the

compressed air flow of the cylinder through adjust knob. So it can control the

intensity and speed of the cylinder push forward or backward. Twist the adjust knob

clockwise, the air flow will be reduced. Otherwise, air flow will be increased.

●Horizontal sealing Air cylinder buffering adjustment:

Please refer to 〖 Figure 4-1.4 〗 the air cylinder with buffering quality standard, to

avoid inertia impact force from the horizontal sealing roller moving, and get a benefit

of smooth and stable machine running, reducing the machine running vibration and

noise. Each air cylinder with the buffering adjustment screws, one screw for adjusting

the buffering progress, one screw for adjusting the return buffering. If you spin the

screw at clockwise, it increase the buffering resistance, if you spin the screw at

counterclockwise, it decrease the buffering resistance.

4-2 speed control of film releasing


 Frequency transformer adjustment:

When the motor of film releasing is three phase asynchronous motor, the speed of

film releasing is controlled by frequency transformer.

① Press “MODE” key, the figure 4-2.2 will appears.

② Then press “PROG” key, the figure 4-2.3 will appears. This is major parameter

code setting. At this moment, press the “up” key to set other parameter codes. Like

“1” or other greater values.

parameter code setting. At this time, press the “up” key to set other parameter codes.

★Notice: Other parameters of Built-in Driver are set as the factory setting. Do not

change them randomly.

● Film releasing three step speed frequency control: As is shown in the figure

〖4-2.7〗, “electric-eye tracker 3”, “electric-eye tracker 4”, “electric-eye tracker 5”

control three different speed frequency respectively. The speed from high to low,

there are “1st stage speed,”, “2nd stage speed,” and “3rd stage speed,”. (Note: E3220

model is two-stage speed, other models are three-stage speed)

 No film detection: As is shown in the figure 〖4-2.7〗,“electric-eye tracker 1”

and

“electric-eye tracker 6” are no film detection electric-eye trackers. When packaging

film runs out, the roller will drop to the lowest place or be pulled to the top. When the

roller in the lowest place, it can detected by “electric-eye tracker 1”. In the top, it can

detected by the “electric-eye tracker 6”.

As is shown in 〖 figure 4-3.1 〗 , there is a control knob is in the back of packing

machine electric box, which is called date code printing temperature control knob.

Rotate the temperature control knob and let the white tick mark point to the value.

The larger the value is, the higher date code printing temperature will be. According

to different film materials, the date code printing temperature value are set at 3-5. The

thicker the film is, the higher date code printing temperature will be.

Method: Loose the screw (do not screwed down), then the code printer can move

along with the sliding rod. Move the code printer and match the printer head with the

horizontal printing place of the bag. Then fix the screw. Maybe you need to repeat

this step 2-3 times until make it well.

★ Notice: The above is only applicable to our company's standard type of date

2、The vertical adjustment of the printing position

Method: As is shown in〖figure 4-3.3〗, loose the fixed handle, then code printing

adjusting roller can move in the chute. When the code printing adjusting roller

moves, the packing film will move too. Move the adjusting roller and match the

printer head with the vertical printing place of the bag. Then tighten the fixed handle.

Maybe you need to repeat this step 2-3 times until make it well.

Method: As is shown in the figure 4-4.1, loose the fixed handle and then rotate the

regulating handle, the film rack( or just the film releasing axis) can move along with

the sliding rod. It will stop when the film arrive at the preset position. Then tighten

the fixed handle. Maybe you need to repeat this step 2-3 times until vertical sealing

meets the requirement.

As is shown in〖figure 4-4.2〗, correction motor is controlled by two buttons. One

button controls the normal transfer while the other one controls the reverse transfer.

When pressing a button for a long time, correction motor starts to run and drive the

correction screw rod to run. At the same time, the film rack and film move along with

the sliding rod. Releasing the button when the film arrives at the preset position, then

the motor will stop. At this time, the adjustment is finished. Maybe you need to repeat

this step 2-3 times until vertical sealing meets the requirement.

4-5 Eye mark tracking adjustment


●Overview: As is shown in the figure 4-5.1,the black squares in the film edge are

the eye mark. The size of mark is L*W=10*5(mm). The distance between two eye

marks is one bag length. Adjust the relative position between photoelectric eye and

eye mark: When the photoelectric eye match to the eye mark, the length of film

between photoelectric eye to horizontal sealing cutter is just equal to the integer times

of bag length (it means that the cutter must cut in the eye mark position).

●Correlation electric eye: As is shown in figure 4-5.1,the correlation electric eye

discriminate the eye mark position through receiving intensity of the Infrared light.

But it is only applicable for the transparent or semi transparent packaging film. The

structure includes transmitter(optical fiber head)+ receiver (optical fiber

head) + amplifier.

1、optical fiber head adjustment: adjust the distance between optical fiber head

and eye mark in 10-15mm.

2、Amplifier adjustment:

① fiber amplifier panel, as is shown in the figure 4-5.2.

● SLR electric eye: As is shown in figure 4-5.2, SLR electric eye determines

color coding by detecting the reflected light intensity. SLR electric eye can apply to

transparent film and opaque film, as long as the color coding of packaging film is

more visible aberration with other parts of the film, electric eye will be able to tell

them.

4-6 Servo Motor Parameter Setting


Servo motor parameters are set as the factory settings, do not change it. Under normal

circumstances, only motor positive inversion and command pulse often need to adjust

parameters.

you need to select other function codes, press the number increases key, the code will

Film pulling servo "command pulse number" is related to bags length, in the

bags making process, the actual packaging bags length often does not match to the

bag length setting value in the interface, if excluded other factors, please adjust the

value of "command pulse number": When the actual bag length is longer than the

setting one, please set "command pulse number" at a greater value; When the actual

bag length is shorter than the setting one, please set "command pulse number" at a

smaller value.

4-7 Sealing roller Adjustment


● Horizontal sealing material clamping stop and electric eye position

Overview: Horizontal sealing material clamping stop is one of automatically

functions of packaging machine, which is used to detect horizontal sealing whether

close the horizontal sealing roller and move electric eye of clamp material stopping,

let the electric eye sense the metal sensors ( electric eye indicator light will be off

① Loosen the fixed screws of horizontal sealing roller, then manually close the

roller (power off) and let the gear of the sealing roller match together.

② locking the fixed screws of horizontal sealing roller, put two pieces of white

paper with a printed blue paper in the middle of two rollers (be cautious, do not place

your hands in it), and then connect to the power and seal once.

③ Cut off the power and take out the paper. Check the depth of the embossing

on the paper. If the depth is consistent, it means it is qualified and the roller force is

uniform. Otherwise, the roller force is not uniform and it need to be adjusted.

④ Loosen the fixed screws of sealing roller and adding the copper gasket to the

shallow embossed side(choose copper gasket according to thickness of copper sheet),

matching roller gear, and then locking rollers, try to set again as the 2nd step. Maybe

it need to repeat two or three times until the roller embossing depth are consistent.

● Vertical Sealing (double pole supporting) distance adjustment:

When replacing the bag forming tube, the diameter of feeding tubes’ size are

different, straight-line distance from vertical sealing roller to the outer surface of the

feeding tube also change, which requires adjusting the distance between the vertical

sealing roller and the center line of feeding tube, as the figure 4-7.3 shows.

Specific methods:

① Loosen the fixed handle of the vertical sealing on both sides and the handle of

adjusting screw.

② Turn the hand wheel: vertical sealing will backward when rotating clockwise;

otherwise, vertical sealing will move forward when rotating counterclockwise.

③ When the vertical sealing roller reaches the suitable position(joint sealing: When

the cylinder was pulled back, distance between vertical sealing roller joint surface to

the joint surface of feeding tube is 10-15mm. Clamp Sealing: the distance between

sealing roller to the outside the arc surface is 2-3mm.), stop turning the hand wheel,

tighten the fixed handle of the adjusting screw and then lock the fixed handle of the

vertical sealing, then the adjustment is finished.。

● Vertical sealing roller (clamping sealing) adjustment:

clamping sealing roller is installed in pairs, on one side is fixed and the other side is

driven by cylinder, as the figure 4-7.4 shows. The Specific methods are as follows:

①Loosen two fixed screws of the vertical sealing seat. So the vertical sealing seat

can move within the long hole. Move the vertical sealing seat so that the sealing

surface of fixed side roller sealing is matched to the central line of the bag former.

②Adjust 4 adjusting screws of the vertical sealing seat and the installation plane of

the vertical sealing seat so that vertical roller sealing edges parallel to the middle line

of the feeding tube.

③ When steps ① and ② are completed, lock the fixed screws of the vertical

sealing seat.

④ Loosen the fixed screw of the vertical sealing roller and manual close the

sealing roller(cut off the power and gas) so that the gears of both vertical sealing

roller are matched.

⑤ Adjust the sealing force of all part in the sealing roller to be uniform, as the

adjustment method mentioned in figure 4-7.2.

⑥ Adjust distance between sealing rollers and bag former as the method in figure

4-7.3.After that, the adjustment is finished.

① Film pulling belt tension: loosen lock nut of the film pulling belt, rotate the

screw clockwise, the film pulling belt will be tension.

② The parallel adjustment between the film pulling belt and the feeding tube:

loosen the fixed screw of film pulling support plane, Support plates swing angle can

be adjusted through the screw hole clearance (only little tuning), make sure that

synchronous belt is parallel to the feeding tube.

③ Close wheel adjustment: loosen the fixed screw of supporting board, which can

be adjusted in the context of long-hole. Move the close wheel so that the gear of

wheel is matched to the gear of synchronous belt.

④ Try to make some bags. If they don’t meet the requirements, you need to repeat

it again.

 Vacuum film pulling adjustment: vacuum pumps (or vacuum generator)

produces negative pressure, make packaging film adsorbed on the synchronous belt,

when the synchronous belt runs downward, it will drive the packing film to move

synchronous, that is called vacuum film pulling, as the figure 4-8.2 shows.

Adjusting method:

① Film pulling belt tension: as the common film pulling adjusting method.

② The parallel adjustment between the film pulling belt and the feeding tube: as

the common film pulling adjusting method.

③ The adjustment of vacuum chamber: loosen fixed screw between vacuum

chamber and film pulling support board, vacuum chamber (front room and back

room) can move back or forward or swing angle through the long hole. Move vacuum

chamber so that suction plane of vacuum chamber’s front room is matched to alveolar

medial plane of vacuum film pulling synchronous belt. Lock the fixed screw of the

film pulling supporting board when it is adjusted.

④ Limited block position adjustment: there is one limited block in both sides,

limited cushion is in above (Buffer), which is used to adjust the lateral clearance

between the film pulling belt and feeding tube. Generally, the lateral clearance is

0.5mm.Touch screen interface manually, click on "manual SV", the film pulling will

be closed and limit pads of limited block will resist above film. Access the lateral

clearance of film pulling first and then adjust. Open the film pulling belt and loosen

the fixed screws of limited block. And limited block can be moved on the slider.

Move limited block to the predetermined position and then tighten the fixed screws.

⑤ Try to make some bags. If they don’t meet the requirements, you need to repeat

it again.

4-9 Replace the film
Our packaging machine film releasing axis is air axis. There are claw in the axis,

claw is pushed under the pressure when it is charging and blow film roller tube, then

the film is fixed on the film releasing axis. When it is exhausting, the claw will be

pulled back, the film can be easily removed from the film releasing axis, as the figure

4-9.1 shows.

Replace method:

①Remove film: when a roll of film runs out, press the charging connector of the air

bulge axis, and the air bulge axis discharges. when the claw is fully received, remove

the film.

② Change the film and charging: Set the new film in the air bulge axis and notice

the mark on the air bulge axis. Make sure the film is in the center of air bulge

axis. Then take the charging handle in hand, aimed the charging connector of the

charging handle at the charging connector of air bulge axis and then press the

charging connector. At this time, the claw will be pushed out and blow the film

roller tube. Then the charging is done.

③Connect the film: connect the new film head to the previous film tail (after no

film stop, the previous film tail will stay at the film receiving board) by the magnet.

Then cut the film with cutter and then paste the film by packing tape.

include parameters of “Parameter Set 2”, “Parameter Set 3”), product number and the

corresponding parameter values will be remembered. If you want to change the

packing products, you only need to input the product number and then the

corresponding parameter will appear, it is no need to reset parameter again.

〖Prod. Name〗: In order to distinguish different products, each product has its own

name or code. Click on the product name setting area, the input keypad will appear.

And it is only allowed to input Arabic numerals or letters in the keypad. Input

corresponding product name or code and then confirm, the setting is finished.(Note:

the following parameter setting is the same as this setting way).

〖 Packing Speed 〗 : It means the figure setting for bag making speed. The value

generally is set between 10~60 packs per minute, which can directly affect the

production speed. However, the setting of this parameter is subject to the following

limitations:

①This parameter cannot be larger than the speed parameter of measuring equipment

(weighing).

②Film pulling servo motor frequency must meet the packing speed requirements.

③Horizontal sealing gas cylinder must meet the packing speed requirements.

④Material fluidity should be fully considered and in case that horizontal sealing will

clamp the material.

If the parameters do not match the setting, the actual speed may be less than the

setting speed value.

〖 Vertical Seal Length 〗 : That refers to the sealing length of the vertical sealing

rollers. Setting parameters of vertical sealing length ≥setting parameters of bag length

for film pulling once. When pulling film twice, the vertical sealing length parameter

should be set to half of the bag length parameter.

〖Package Delay〗: The period from the time when the packing machine receives

the baiting signal of the metering machine to the time before the packing machine

starts to operate. When the material fluidity is poor and the baiting time is too long,

the delay time should be set. In general, non delay packing is needed and the setting

should be "0".

〖Materal Delay〗: refers to the delay between the receiving of the request material

baiting signal by the metering equipment and the actual material baiting.

〖 Eye Mark Move Length 〗 : refers to the distance from which the photoelectric

eye senses the color marks on the packing film and then instructs the packing film to

move forward. Generally, by moving (or relative moving) the position of the electric-

eye, the film length between the position of the electric-eye color-sensitive

punctuation point and the position of the horizontal sealing cutter is just an integral

multiple of the bag length, and the offset is set to "0". If the color mark point of the

packing bag is not in the position of the horizontal sealing cutting blade edge, the

color mark can be set by setting the color label. The distance between the sensing

color mark point and the horizontal cutting blade is changed by the amount until the

two coincide.

Note: When the synchronous belt slips, the offset of the color mark will increase

the deviation of the bag length and the offset distance.

● 〖 Bag Length 〗 : Refers to the length of packaging bag and the bag length

depends on the product requirements. Pull the film once, bag length L≤vertical

sealing roller length-20. The bag length is controlled by the eye mark of the film,

the set bag length must be 30-50mm longer than the actual bag length.

● 〖 Discharge Count 〗 : It means that how many times do the weighing

equipment need to discharge for packing one bag. Generally the parameter is set

as “1”, which means that weigh once pack once.

● 〖Sequent Bags〗: It refers to packing several bags continuously. In the packing

process, the first few bags are not cut off completely except the last bag. The

horizontal sealing cutter cylinder of sequent bags is dual-stroke cylinder, the

packaging bag is not completely cut in the first stroke while is completely cut in

the second stroke. Non sequent bag, the parameter is set as “0”. N sequent bags,

the parameter is set as “N”.

● 〖 Mark Pull Film Actual Length 〗 : no need to set parameter, it means

automatically identify the distance of eye marks then generate a value.

● Note: If the above parameters are set too small, the alarm will be false. If the

setting is too large, sometimes cannot detect material clamping, so please be

careful.

● When all parameters have been set, the parameters are automatically saved. Press

the page key to enter “Parameter Setting 2” and press the “Exit” key to return to

the previous page.

● “Program 2” page: Press next page button in the “Program 1”, it will enter to

“Program 2:. There are 10 parameters in this page, thereinto, “Pull Film Time” is

the parameter setting of PLC, which can be displayed but cannot not be set. Other

9 parameters need setting, as〖figure 6-3.2〗shows.

〖Film Pulling Delay〗:It refers to the time that film pulling motor from receiving

the running messages of packing machine to start running. If you don’t need film

pulling delay, this parameter can be set as “0”.

〖Vertical Seal Close〗:The time that vertical sealing roller use for heating the bag

mouth (it is also called closing time). It is usually set as 0.2-0.5s. Note: packing speed

is mainly achieved by reducing the closing time.

〖 Horizontal Seal Delay 〗 : The time that from packing machine receiving a

discharge signal of measuring machine and the machine starts running to horizontal

sealing begins to close. Generally, this parameter is set as 0.3-0.8s.

〖Horizontal Seal Close 〗: The time that horizontal sealing roller use for heating

the bag mouth (it is also called closing time). It is usually set as 0.25-0.6s. Note:

packing speed mainly achieved by reducing the closing time.

〖 Cutting 〗 : It refers to the time cutter from push to return. Generally, this

parameter is set as 0.2s.

〖 Printing 〗 : It refers to the time that coding cylinder from push to return.

After all the parameters are set, the parameters are automatically saved.

〖 Film Pulling Frequency 〗 : The frequency used when the film servo motor is

running,

generally set between "10000 ~ 16000". The higher the frequency is, the faster the

film is pulled, otherwise, the slower the film is pulled. The setting of the film pulling

frequency is related to the packaging speed and the length of the bag. Under the

condition of the specified bag length, as long as the package speed can be satisfied,

do not set it too high.

〖Pull Film Acceleration Time〗: It represents the time taken by the film pulling

servo motor from start to acceleration. Generally set to 0.1S.

〖Pull Film Deceleration Time〗: It represents the time taken by the film pulling

servo motor from running speed to decelerate to 0 (stop). Generally set to 0.3S.

There are 3 free port and 3 function switches in the interface (when functions

increase, we will expand the modules for more free ports).

〖Free port〗: It is also called alternate port.

〖 Function 〗 :It is also called the preset optional function. It includes gusset, PE

sealing, horizontal seal blowing, bag supporting and other 6 functions. Click the

function display area can change the optional function. If you don’t need the optional

function, you can choose “No output” and “ OFF” switch (If the optional function is

chose, the “Manual” interface will appear).

〖Delay〗:The time from the optional function receiving the discharge message to

the function begins to work.

〖Time〗:The time optional function spent on finishing one action.

〖Printer〗:It can be “OFF”, if you don’t use the coding printer.

〖Eye Mark〗:It can be “OFF”, if you don’t use the it.

When all parameter are set, press the SAVE button, the parameter will be saved. Now,

the entire packing parameters are set. Press “EXIT” to back to the home page.

〖Copy〗: To copy the current product number to the specified number of products

6-4 Manual Interface


Click on the “Manual” in the home page, following interface will appear, shown

as〖Figure 6-4.1〗.

In〖figure 6-4.1〗page, there are nine basic manual functions (when the free port has

alternative functions, it will be displayed on the manual page, at this time, the manual

operation items will have additional entries). Following are annotations on nine

standard manual functions:

〖One Bag Film〗:Press this button once, the film pulling servo motor synchronous

belt runs once.

〖Make One Bag〗:Press this button once, each part of the packing machine runs

once and make one empty bag (the weigher does not discharge).

〖Pull bag Clamp〗:Press this button, the film pulling cylinder will push or pull the

film belt.

Notice: When the machine is automatic packing, if the film pulling cylinder does not

push the film belt, it will alarm.

〖Vertical Seal〗:Press this button, it will finish vertical sealing once.

〖Print〗:Press this button, the printer will finish once coding print.

〖Pull Film〗:Press this button for a long time, film releasing servo motor will run.

Release the button, it will stop.

〖Horizontal Seal〗:Press this button, the sealing roller will gradually from opening

status to closed status. Press this button again, the sealing roller will from closed

status to opening status.

〖Cut〗:Press this button, the horizontal sealing cutter will be reset again according

to the setting time.

〖One Discharge〗:Press this button once, it will send a message to the combination

weigher or other measuring equipment to discharge in the packing machine once. It is

also used for testing the connection signal.

Click the “Auto” in the home page, the page in〖Figure 6-5.1〗will appear.

The five parameters in this interface are display parameters, which are “packing

speed”, “bag length”, “product No.”, “product name” and “net weight”. The

parameter set before are shown in this interface.

〖 Total Discharge 〗 :The quantity of accumulate bags when filling and bagging.

Press “Reset”, it will back to 0 and start counting from zero.

〖Total Bags〗:The quantity of accumulate empty bags when testing. Press “Reset”,

it will back to 0 and start counting from zero.

Fill the Bag〖Run〗:Press this button (or the blue one in the electric box panel),

the packing machine will be filling and packing. At this time, the weigher will

discharge the material in the bags through the bag forming tube. When the packing

machine receives the discharge message from the weigher, it will run as the preset

parameter.

Fill the Bag〖Stop〗:Press this button (or the red one in the electric box panel), the

packing machine will stop.

Empty Bag Testing 〖 Run 〗 : Press this button, the packing machine will make

empty bags. But the packing machine has no signal connection with other

equipments.

6-6 Temperature Setting


Click on the "Temperature " button in the home page interface, that is, pop-up page

〖Fig. 6-6.1〗. When using the thermometer to control the temperature, click on the

temperature control switch button, select "ON" heater in the heating state, and select

"OFF" heater to stop working.

The following will introduce the parameter setting and function choice of the

temperature control module.

〖Position〗:The first line in the interface is the specific heating positions controlled

by temperature. It includes “V Seal”, “Inside of H Seal”, “Outside of H Seal” and

“Alternate”. “V Seal” means the temperature controlling point of the vertical sealing

roller. “Inside of H Seal” means the temperature controlling point of horizontal

sealing roller, which closes to the inside of machine. “Outside of H Seal” means the

temperature controlling point of horizontal sealing roller, which closes to the outside

of machine. “Alternate” means the temperature controlling point which is reserved

for other optional heating components.

〖 Alarm Enable 〗 : " Alarm Enable " functions in the second line are the alarm

selected switches for the "position" temperature controlling point. “ON”means open

the alarm, “OFF”means close the alarm. But this function work by inputting the 4-

level password (permission is 4). Notice: no matter choose “ON” or “OFF”, as long

as open the master temperature control switch, the heater will work.

〖 Set Value 〗 :This third line in the interface is the temperature setting area of

“position”. Click the digital display area, the numeric keypad will appear. Input the

temperature value you need and press the “confirm” button, the temperature is set.

Generally, the temperature of horizontal sealing is set as 135 while the vertical one is

set as 125.

〖 Over Wt 〗 :The fourth line in the interface is the upper temperature alarm

deviation of each “Position”. Generally, it is set as 5.

〖 Under Wt 〗 :The fifth line in the interface is the lower temperature alarm

deviation value of each “Position”. Generally, it is set as 5.

〖 Process Value 〗 :The sixth line in the interface is actual temperature value

measured by thermocouple (temperature sensors) of each “position”. Normal

operation this value is always in a state of fluctuation, and close to the setting value.

〖Heating〗:The seventh line in the interface shows whether each “position” is in

heating state. When it is heating, the green indicator light flashes. When heating is

finished, the green led indicator light turns off and no display.

〖TC Error〗:The eighth line in the interface shows whether each “position” is in

the thermocouple disconnection state. Thermocouple disconnection means that

thermocouple is in normal working state or a disconnected state. No light display in

the normal working condition while the red one flashes in the disconnected state.

〖 Alarm 〗 :The ninth line in the interface shows whether the temperature of each

“position” is in alarm state. When the temperature difference between the measured

value and the setting value is greater than the upper and lower deviation values, the

“position” temperature is in the alarm state and red indicator light is on. When the

temperature difference between the measured value and the setting value is less than

the upper and lower deviation values, the “position” temperature is in the normal

state and no light display.

〖 Self Tuning 〗 :The measured value of thermocouple can reflect the actual

temperature only when each “position” temperature of the temperature control

module is self tuning. And the discrepancies between measured value and the setting

value can be controlled to the minimum. The specific methods are as follows.

① machine in cold condition (sealing roller in the before heating state and

temperature control module will stop running for more than 4 hours), input 4-level

passwords (permission is 4) to enter the temperature-controlled interface.

② Click on each “position” self tuning switch button, when all "OFF" turns to

"ON", the temperature control module is in self-tuning state.

③ Open each "position" heating switch and "temperature control" master switch,

all "position" heater start heating.

④ keep above state until the measured value reaches setting value (Note: the

setting value is required about 20 degrees higher than usual). At this time,

measurements will fluctuate up and down (compared with setting values). Wait more

than 20 minutes, measured values become stable. When measurements are the same

as the setting values, the self tuning is finished.

⑤After that, turn off the "position" self-tuning switch and exit the temperature

control interface.

Note: Temperature self-adjusting is done by the commissioning staff in the factory,

and it is finished by the user, and it is unnecessary for the second setting after the

module has been set.

6-7 Alarm Set


In order to use the Packing machine safely and timely and accurately judge the

machine problems, this series packing machine alarm page set up 9 alarm functions.

It includes one general alarm switch (If user requires, alarm switch can be hided, only

show under permission 4), 4 independent alarm switches (If user requires, "unopened

door alarm" independent switches can be canceled, the default always on), one error

reset switch and one EXIT switch. As the 〖figure 6-7.1〗 shows, the following will

introduce each alarm functions.

eye senses it and sends the alarm signal to the packaging machine to stop running.

〖Door Alarm〗: When the packing machine is power on, if open the glass door of

packing machine, electric eye senses it and sends the alarm signal to the packaging

machine to stop running.

〖Eye Mark Failure Alarm 〗: When the packing machine moves a distance (bag

length distance) from one eye mark, but the electric eye fail to sense the next eye

mark, then it will send alarm message to the packing machine to stop running.

〖 Low air pressure Alarm 〗 (optional function): When air pressure of packaging

machine’s fluctuation range is greater than the air pressure alarm allowable deviation

value, pressure alarm senses and sends alarm message to packing machine to stop

running.

〖Temperature Alarm〗: When actual deviation value of temperature control meter

or temperature control module is greater than setting deviation value, temperature

control meter or temperature control module will send alarm signal to packaging

machine to stop running.

〖 Hor. Seal Clamp Alarm 〗 : When the material is clamped in the horizontal

sealing, the electric eye senses it and sends alarm signal to packaging machine to stop

running.

〖 Pull Bag Clamp Alarm 〗 : It alarms when film pulling synchronous belt is not

closed but the machine is automatic running.

〖 Emergency Stop Alarm 〗 : It alarms when emergency stop is not open but the

machine is automatic running.

〖Film Pulling Servo Alarm〗: It alarms when film pulling servo motor is overload

or a fault occurs.

●Introduction of General Switch:

〖General Alarm〗: Turn off this switch (OFF), all the alarm function will be off;

Turn on this switch (ON), all alarms can be opened.

〖 Independent alarm switches 〗: Open "General Alarm" first, and then open the

"Independent alarm switches". Only in this way, the alarm function under their

control will be opened.

〖Error Reset〗: It means to cancel the alarm. When alarm works, the machine can

not start. Only by pressing the "Error Reset" to cancel alarm, the machines can

restart. Notice: When the servo motor has ever used overload alarm, the error reset is

invalid. The alarm can be canceled only when the machine restart.

8-1 Application taboo of the machine
●Non professional personnel is not allowed to operate the machine. The machine

operating personnel must be trained and qualified to do this job.

●Do not change the parameter of the machine or set the machine parameter beyond

the scope of use in the case of unknown reason or method of operation.

●Do not operate machine overload. It means that not to use the machine for long time

or in extraordinary speed.

●Do not run the faulty machine: machines must be immediately repaired. Avoid any

big accidents caused by small problems.
