Drainage Approved Material List

General
Scope
This document specifies the list of Manufacturers and Suppliers, Sub Contractors/Installers and IT’S Service Providers who are approved by the Vendors
Prequalification Committee (VPC) to provide materials and services.

Applicability
1. Contractors may employ any Manufacturer and Supplier, Sub Contractor/Installer, and/or any other Service Provider listed in the Approved Vendors
List at the date of submission of the tender. Any approved party added subsequent to the submission of the tender may also be considered.
2. Where there is no category for the Manufacturer; the contractor shall submit details of the materials and Manufacturers in accordance with Qatar
Construction Standard (QCS), 2014 or latest as per the VPC Check list (Refer Annex-A) and the approval shall be granted by the supervising consultant
of the project (As per the procedure Approved/Issued by VPC Committee) on project-by-project basis.
3. Where the Manufacturer of specific materials and the service Providers are listed in this document, they shall only be obtained from one of the parties
on this approved list, unless otherwise Approved VPC /Agreed by Committee.
4. If a Supplier/Manufacturer proposes to change the manufacturing location from the location stated in this list, or add new manufacturing facilities, the
VPC Committee of Public Works Authority (PWA) shall be informed in writing by the manufacturer. The newly proposed manufacturing facility must obtain
the Approval from VPC Committee prior to submission of any material submittals from this new location.
5. Products, materials and/or equipment referred to in this list that are proposed for use in PWA projects must be formally submitted, reviewed and
approved by the Supervision Consultant under the regular materials review and approval procedure(As Approved/Agreed by PC Committee), regardless
of any “Approval in principle” letter previously issued by PWA.
6. Vendors shall be enlisted for three years from the date of the official letter issued by VPC Committee subject to maintaining the same quality, terms
and conditions of the original application, and fulfillment of the performance report required by the VPC Committee at any stage during the approval
period.
7. Any products and/or manufactures referred to in this list must fully comply with the requirements of the latest version of Qatar Construction Speciation
and any other relevant International Standards and/or any Interim Advice Notes Issued by Ashghal.
8. All Ashghal approved vendor list categories regardless the number of approved vendors is obligatory to Ashghal projects and departments.
9. Alternative vendor “not listed” in Ashghal vendor list shall apply to the VPC for prequalification within the suitable time without effecting the projects
schedules.
10. Ashghal departments shall not use any materials in Ashghal projects from not approved vendor nor country of origin until it is prequalified and
approved by the VPC.
11. The committee (VPC) shall not be hold responsible for any delay happens in the projects due to the prequalification process.
