Housing 1
things they love to do, a place that is secured for their family, a place where
they can sleep, peacefully. I thought that housing is an essential human right as
every basic necessity of a human is connected with housing. Housing is an essential
part of basic human needs and is considered part of the human right to an adequate
standard of living according to Article 25. It is simple, without housing, a human
might not have a place for security, privacy, and place of comfort, thus,
compromising other basic human rights that are important for a standard of living.
Choose one characteristic of a slum area. Give at least 3 action plans that can
help solve that aspect. Example: how will you be able to give adequate safe
drinking water>
3 Action Plans
Slum Upgrades/Development - As what many sources have said, slums cannot be simply
eradicated by removing them. One of the successful strategies that I researched is
developing the slum area by improving the road networks, transportation, as well as
services. In this way, we can provide equitable access to opportunities by making
an accessible community for low-income communities and we can slowly eradicate the
number of people living in the area as they improve their livelihood.
In achieving SDG # 11, choose one aspect of solving it and give a specific action
plan on how will you do it. Example: Public Spaces --- what action plan will you
propose to do?
