FARM TOOLS IN AGRICULTURAL CROP PRODUCTION

Farm tools, implements, and equipment play very important role in agricultural crop production. Their
availability makes the work much easier and faster. However, even if one may have the most sophisticated tools and
implements, but does not know how to use them, they are useless.
In order to do crop production operations successfully, one must have a good working knowledge of the tools,
implements and equipment before using them.

Hand Tools
Hand tools are usually light and are used without the help of animals or machines. They are being used in
performing farm activities which involve small areas like school garden and home garden.

Learning Task 1: “Where Do I belong”

Directions: Dela Cruz Family is a farmer from their town. They want their farm to be filled with different
agricultural crops. Let us help them how to ease their work. Give at least (5) five farm tools, and (3) farm
implements that you already know that are used in Agri-crop production and state their uses.

Directions: After learning about the different farm tools and equipment, your task is to look for the available
tools in your house if you have farm tools at home, look for your relative’s or any available near your homes.
On a short bond paper, draw the tool and give a short description, apply the elements and principles of arts in
your MAPEH subject in drawing your output. Your output will be graded based on the following criteria:

the tools and implements that they use in the farm and ask the importance of the tools in the efficient way of farming. Based on what have
you watch and interview, how does tools and implements helps in farming? You will be graded according to the following criteria. Write
your answer on the space provided for.
