Hi Priti,

Thank you for submitting this module for Formative Feedback.

My sincere apologies if the feedback seems negative but I have to confess I’m slightly confused by what you have presented.
The work does not seem to correspond to the brief set for this module.
Have you used an AI (artificial intelligence) to create any of this work?

1
Within the ‘Introduction you say the following;
“We will delve into the field of interior design by having students work on a series of more challenging strategic practical design projects . In the end, students will complete a
capstone project that synthesizes their prior knowledge and prepares them for the workforce. According to Kuldashev (2022) Lectures, seminars, and workshops set the stage
for the subject at hand. Students are encouraged to engage with the outside world via the course's use of real-world group projects and the inclusion of guest lecturers from
relevant professions.”

I am not understanding what this refers to?

This is a project you have been set to be done by you. Why does the introduction refer to students working on a series of more challenging strategic practical design projects?

2
The building you have shown is a bungalow when the project has asked you to design the scheme based on the drawings provided which is a completely different building . I’m
not sure why you have presented a bungalow design here?

3
The brief has asked for you to retain the historical aspects of the building but confirmed that your client, Mr Turners Son, likes a modern feel to the interior. As such the
scheme should respect the heritage of the building but offer a contemporary scheme with the design . The mood board you have provided looks purely traditional?
Within the introduction you state “The design will seamlessly blend heritage aesthetics with modern comfort.”

GENERAL COMMENTS:
1
The presentation starts with Portrait format then changes to Landscape.
When presenting this type of work it looks very odd to mix the formats. The presentation would look much better if it were all in Landscape format.

The references were not in the Harvard Referencing format that is required. If you refer to the VLS, student resources, Harvard Referencing, there are resources here to help
you.
3
This module has a series of tasks and each task should be done in the order set.
Pack 1
Design Brief
Site Analysis
Target Market
etc
Pack 2
Project Introduction
Initial Design Presentation Boards-Design Concept
Final Design Presentation Boards - Finishes, Furniture and furnishings
etc.

The presentation should be split into Task 1 & Task 2 and then clear titles added to each section to identify the task you are doing in the order they are set in.

I could comment further but, in summary, I am finding it difficult to relate the work you have sent to the assignment that you have been set .

Would you like a zoom meeting to talk through the assignment so you fully understand what is expected ? If you do, just let me know and I can arrange it.

Kind Regards,

Martin
