While the explanation you provided of BIM covers what it actually means, you should be more elaborative.
When you discuss how BIM is related to the construction industry, make sure that you are also analysing its
importance and providing a critical analysis on how it affects both CAPEX and OPEX.

With regards to the BIM key terms, you discussed how it is important to have consistency in terms across a
project team members, however, you did not analyse ways in which this consistency can be achieved.

The report does not clearly discuss how collaborative working can aid a BIM process. Furthermore, the report
does not explain the information life cycle as it does not explain how the information is created, managed and
used throughout various project stages. Although you mention the CDE, the report does not analyse ways to
achieve information management.

When you explain the BIM dimensions, make sure you are also mentioning how BIM dimensions can
influence elements of a building project. Furthermore, the report does not explain and evaluate the roles
required to deliver BIM projects. Make sure you discuss the organizational roles which are needed to
successfully deliver BIM projects according to ISO 19650. You can also discuss the roles of members of the
delivery team.
A critical evaluation of the BEP is missing from your report.

Add a comparison between traditional and BIM methods when you assess the benefits of BIM for the asset
owner, highlighting exactly the ways in which BIM is better.

Assessor feedback for summative assessment:

The report barely meets the minimum assignment requirements. It was written last minute, and no extended
efforts were invested in it.

The similarity percentage is high in your report and you were at risk of receiving a plagiarism notice. You are
advised to rely on reading from various sources and writing your own words instead of relying on
paraphrasing. All the references used in writing the report are internet pages! You should read books, journals,
and conference papers. Take your time in finding good resources, reading, analysing, writing in order to be
able to produce quality reports.

While you explained what BIM as a term means, it would have been good if you provided more explanation
on the definition. The assignment requires creating a BEP, not explaining the different BEP sections.
Unfortunately, you did not submit the BEP template you worked on with your group members.

It is clear from the report sections that you were aiming to achieve the “D” criteria. Unfortunately, you did not
give yourself time to analyse the required information properly to be able to answer the course assignment
requirements.

You are advised to manage your time correctly in the future to be able to produce report that match your
potential.
