Title: Predicting Suicide Attempters with Clinical Depression

Background
Almost one million people kill themselves every year and the suicidal rates have increased significantly
worldwide during recent years. The phenomena of suicidal behaviour is highly complex and dynamic
toward different variables such as biological, psychological and clinical variables.

Problem
The manual diagnosis of suicidal ideation is a complicated and difficult process due to involves a highly
subjective diagnostic criterion. Also, the judgment heavily relies on the medical knowledge base and
level of experience as well as skills of the physicians or clinical psychiatrist.

Objective
The main objective of this study is to build a predictive model that is able to classify suicide attempters
and non-attempters with clinical depression.

Dataset Description
Source: The patient data is collected and digitized from patient records of Hospital Pulau Pinang.

Number of samples: 1000 patients

Attributes: The dataset consists of 7 attributes.
