BAPTIST MISSION CHURCH
Nagamese Fellowship was started in a humble way for a few Church members who do
not understand neither Tenyidie nor English, especially those converts from Hindu
background. Today, the fellowship has completed 10 years, blessed with added
members from different communities and is growing with a different relationship
amongst them in Christ. II Cor 5:17.
The church has been tirelessly careful in nurturing the Fellowship. The pastors, deacons
and other Church leaders whether assigned or not, never waver to assist them. The
church treated all its members equally and importantly. Everyone intermingle easily
and take part joyfully in all the Church activities. The efforts invested in the fellowship
by all concerned is paying off well.
We are grateful to all the stakeholders both in the past and present. We would also
like to express our profound gratefulness to all who have contributed articles with
insight facts about the fellowship and the new challenges ahead. We pray that every
reader of this souvenir is inspired as to how God works wonderfully from out of a little
initiated, we embark upon.

God’s Faithfulness.
The Nagamese Fellowship came into existence on 10 February, 2013.
From its inception till now, we have witnessed and experienced ten years of God’s
unfailing faithfulness towards us. Through the help of God, the Nagamese
fellowship has enjoyed great success and accomplishments in the first decade of
its existence. From a humble beginning, the ministry continues to prosper and grow
with each passing year. The Nagamese fellowship has one important goal and
mission in mind which is to fulfil the great commission by making disciples of Jesus
Christ.
This ministry has been instrumental in wining and bringing lost souls and new
converts into the kingdom of God. The Nagamese ministry has also been successful
in baptizing and bringing new members to the Church and adding them into the
body of Christ. We also value and prioritize the clear preaching and teaching of
God’s word in the fellowship as we know that believers consistently need the
proper feeding of their spiritual food. In addition to this, the Nagamese fellowship
also acknowledges the importance and power of prayer and for this we observe
the first Sunday of each month as a day of fasting.
We are also thrilled and elated because of the fact that a member of the
Nagamese fellowship has been sent into the field of God and is serving as a
missionary today. Moreover, recognizing the need to edify children and to
incorporate them into the church, we are initiating the children’s Sunday school
ministry in the coming month.
Every possible effort is invested to expand and broaden the reach of this ministry
for the glory of God. We have encountered many challenges along the way. The
COVID 19 pandemic was a dark and challenging phase for all of us. Yet, even
though the gathering of the fellowship was suspended for a period of time, the
believers earnestly continued to pray for each other. In the midst of all this
challenges and trials God stood with us. His provision and protection was upon
each member of the fellowship even during those turbulent and difficult times. The
Nagamese fellowship has turned out to be a testimony of God’s faithfulness
towards His church and mission.
The fruits and the blessings that we have experienced and tasted in this ministry
thus far are invaluable. We believe that this is just the beginning of a fruitful and
prosperous journey that God is going to lead us ahead. In spite of the challenges,
we continue to press forward, trusting in the faithfulness and ever-present help of
our almighty God. The Nagamese fellowship is a small step indeed, but with God
on our side we hope to achieve great things for His glory as we look ahead to the
future.

The Command:
"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the
Son, and of the Holy Ghost." (Matthew 28:19)
At the core of the Great Commission is the command to "go." This simple word carries a
profound meaning, urging believers to actively engage with the world around them. It challenges
Christians to step outside their comfort zones and share the Gospel with people from all walks
of life, regardless of nationality, culture, or background.
The Commission is not limited to merely spreading the message of Christ; it also emphasizes the
importance of teaching. This implies a more comprehensive approach that involves instructing
and nurturing individuals in the ways of the faith. Teaching entails helping others understand the
principles of Christianity, guiding them towards a deeper relationship with God
The Objective:
The ultimate goal of the Great Commission is to make disciples of all nations. By baptizing
individuals in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, believers are called to bring people
into a transformative relationship with God. Discipleship involves not only sharing knowledge but
also modelling the teachings of Christ through one's own life. It is a lifelong process that aims to
cultivate spiritual growth and maturity in others.
The Promise: "And, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world." (Matthew 28:20) In
verse 20, Jesus assures His disciples that He will be with them always, even until the end of the
world. This promise provides comfort and encouragement to those who embark on the mission of
the Great Commission. It acknowledges the challenges and obstacles they may face but assures
them of God's continual presence, guidance, and support.
His master said to him. “Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over
a little, I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.” Matthew 25:21
Almighty God works in mysterious ways and He has a reason for everything no matter how strange
it may seem. It is beyond our human nature of understanding. But the end result is always
awesome, for there is no regret or bitterness but only goodness and satisfaction with renewed
spirit of faith and hope.
One of the primary activities of Baptist Mission Church is Mission work. For quite some years, the
Church is focused on mission works outside our home boundary. God has blessed us and helped
us to resourcefully run Mission works joyfully in the neighboring states of Assam, Arunachal and
Tripura with further extension to Bangladesh this year. Though there is a slight set back (not failure
as such) by putting the China Mission under temporary suspension due to Covid 19 and an
unfortunate diplomatic problem between India and China.
Home mission has also become a concern for quite a few years now. Because there are
thousands of non-believers, majority of them are Hindus and Muslims apart from others spread all
over the State of Nagaland. Many of them are doing successfully in the business sector. They are
well settled with the congenial environment especially amongst the peace loving Naga people. As
such, they are likely to stay for a long time with this kind of opportunity in our homeland. Perhaps
God is giving us this responsibility to share the Gospel to them and to make them disciples who in
turn could become powerful Missionaries/Evangelists.
The Nagamese Fellowship which began 10 years ago in the Church was initially to cater to the
spiritual needs of a few believers (non-Nagas) belonging to Hindu background. With God's
wonderful grace, a young man from this Fellowship came forward to serve the Lord in a short span
of time. This young man is full of energy, well qualified in theology and a passionate missionary
today working in the Mission field. At the same time, two faithful deacons who have grown from
this fellowship are assisting the pastors of the Fellowship. Could this be an eye opener as to how
God works wonderfully from a small initiative? Could this be an opportunity to perhaps seriously
plan big for Home Missions apart from the ongoing Mission works? Let us remind ourselves for
God said "My thoughts are not your thoughts neither My ways your ways "- Isaiah 55:8.
From the observations of a few Churches including our Church in organizing street preaching in
Kohima, the response from non-believers appear to be astounding and encouraging. Let us not
delay further but concretize a decision for materializing the Home Mission. This venture needs
Evangelists/ Missionaries and full time workers but most of all, you and I. Will you agree to come
forward?
Who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.” 1 Timothy 2:4
