Dear Stillmeadow Church Family,

What a blessing and a privilege it has been to be the spring intern at Stillmeadow.  As
my internship with the church has now come to a close, I would like to write you all to recap
my experiences, share lessons learned, and take a look at the future as I seek the will of the
Lord.
I served as intern in the country of Jamaica for nearly two months assisting in the
ongoing EJAM strategic partnership between the East Jamaica District Church of the Nazarene
and the Stillmeadow Church of the Nazarene.  I worked alongside Ron Grey in his duties as
pastor and district superintendent of East Jamaica.  I helped present the topic of service to God
and others at a Nazarene Mission International event.  I also spent time at the Spanish Town
YMCA mentoring young men.
After my return from Jamaica I served at the York City Campus for a couple of weeks.  I
assisted in leading two youth service projects in the community and helped in the area of
children’s church.
This internship has been an invaluable experience as I continue to follow the Lord’s
calling—to actively join in His global mission—in my life and prepare for my next opportunity of
learning.  Starting this week I will begin to participate in Nazarene Theological Seminary’s 365
Days in Mission (36M) program.  As the name suggests, 365M is a year -long program whose
goal is to make the mission practice a learning experience.  For ten months, starting at the end
of July, I will live, serve, and learn first-hand in the country of Brazil with Nazarene Mission
Corps.  Missionaries and national leaders will be my mentors as I grow in the Lord and prepare
for a lifetime of service.
I want to take this time to thank all of you who have supported me, not just during my
internship at Stillmeadow in the past two and one half months, but over the entire 23 years of
my live.  Your love and care are truly evident and deeply heartfelt.  I am truly blessed because
of you all.
I ask for your continued support as the 365M program at Nazarene Theological
Seminary cannot happen without it.  If it is possible for you to give financial support
contributing to my scholarship fund at Stillmeadow, I would be very grateful.  If you cannot,
please know how much I will appreciate your prayers and encouragement as I continue to seek
to fulfill His calling for my life.

(Please make checks out to Stillmeadow with memo:  Scott Brubaker

Scholarship Fund)

May God bless you and sustain you by His grace.

                                                                                    Sincerely,
                                                                                                Scott Brubaker
