Subj: Case to keep the tablet rollout limited as planned

Hi Carter,

Thank you for joining the brainstorm discussion the other day.

This concerns the discussion that follows a request from the leadership to expand the tablet
rollout plant to the entire restaurant instead of just the bar area as defined in the current
project scope.

While the motivation of this change is understandable and definitely is a long-term goal
facilitated by this project, there are concerns regarding such scope change. It became evident
from the team input yesterday, that it warrants significantly more training or hiring more staff,
as well as running a high risk of overwhelming the current kitchen staff. As a consequence, it
can endanger customer experience and satisfaction which will be counteracting the goals of
the project, and ultimately, the operations and revenue.

You are very well versed in kitchen operations and needs as well as what is necessary to
keep the staff satisfied and motivated. Therefore you are in an excellent position to help me
argue to the leadership for keeping the scope of the project intact and make a roadmap for
incremental changes instead. This way we can cater to the goal of the leadership without
compromising the project and kitchen operations.
