Subj: [Review Required] Change in scope in the Tablet rollout?

Hi Deanna,

Thank you for introducing me to Omar regarding the Tablet rollout project. It was good to hear
his review comments and expectations.

I would like to bring your attention to Omar’s request on expanding the tablet rollout to include
all of the restaurant dining sections, not just limited to the bar area.

No doubt expanding the rollout across the entire restaurant would provide more accurate
metrics and greater revenue increase. However, after a brainstorming session with the
working group (Larissa, Zane, Seydou, Gilly, Alex, Carter), and a detailed analysis, we would
like the pilot tablet rollout restricted to the bar area only, due to the following reasons:
1. Piloting at dining areas is riskier than bar areas.
Risk includes
● Meeting increased demands and customer expectations in dining areas
● Hire more kitchen personnel and maintain employee and customer satisfaction
● Pushing back the timeline, more cost for more tablets and house wiring

2. We can better manage, operate and address any issues from the bar rollout and make
necessary changes faster. From an operational standpoint, this rollout needs to
happen incrementally.
3. Bar patrons want a speedier dining experience than dining.

As the risks outweigh the benefits of rollout expansion, I would suggest limiting the pilot tablet
rollout to the bar area only; with fast follow of dining rollout in the next 3 months.

Please share your thoughts on this.

Thank you.

Regards,
Peta

Subj: [Review Required] Tablet Rollout Scope || Brainstorming Results
Hi Omar,

It was nice to e-meet you. Thank you for reviewing the project charter and sharing your
thoughts aligned to our company vision by expanding the tablet rollout to include all of the
restaurant dining sections, not just limited to the bar area.

No doubt expanding the tablet rollout across the entire restaurant would provide more
accurate metrics and greater revenue increase. However, after a brainstorming session with
the working group (Larissa, Zane, Seydou, Gilly, Alex, Carter), and a detailed analysis, we
would like the pilot tablet rollout restricted to the bar area only, due to the following reasons:

We find the risks outweigh the benefits of rollout expansion; so we suggest limiting the pilot
tablet rollout to the bar area only; with fast follow of dining rollout in the next 3 months. The
initial three months will help us prepare well for the expansion to dining.

Kindly share your thoughts on this. Please let me know if you would like to discuss the scope
and the risks in detail, we can schedule a meeting.

Thank you.

Peta
