A. RATIONALE:

Healthy eating patterns are essential for students to achieve their full academic
potential, full physical and mental growth and lifelong health and well-being. The school
have a responsibility to help students establish and maintain healthy eating.

Making a health intervention with integrated components that modified the physical
education program, targeted behaviour change through brief classroom activities, individual
and group behaviour change initiatives, and family outreach, and promoted changes in food
selection and consumption patterns, activity and behaviour.

To Strengths the intervention designs were the integration of nutrition with the health
in components (physical and health education).

B. OBJECTIVES

This project aims to produce bountiful vegetables to be serving in our school and home
in supporting undernourished pupils and to understand the health and well-being impacts of
school gardens and the factors that helps or hinders their success.

C. CONTENT

This project aims is to encourage teachers, parents and pupils to plant in a vegetable
seedlings at the school and at home and to serve the harvested vegetables to pupils to
promote nutrition.

D. METHODOLOGY

The activity will be done through the joint effort of the teachers, parents and pupils.

E. ASSESSMENT AND APPLICATION OF LEARNING

 Conceptualization of the project with the teachers

 Propose projects in Grade 4-6 learners about planting vegetables at home and in school
garden.
 Orientation of Project BFF to the parents/guardians and their role during the project
