1.0 INTRODUCTION

1.1 This document identifies for the dismantling and install new sprinkler pipe at Staging
Warehouse Area.

2.0 METHOD OF STATEMENT

2.1 PREPARATION
• Notify all concerned parties at site for the date of material delivery.
• Prepare work permit and approve before start works.
• Ensure all workers are equipped with PPE prior work starts.
• Brief workers pertaining the roles and responsibilities of each trade.
• Attend toolbox meeting prior commencement of work.
• Ensure the area is cleared of obstruction.
• Work monitoring by trade leader.
• All equipment and materials are in good condition.
• Active communication between supervisor, helper and all related persons.
• Make sure material approved by consultant or SPMY representative prior
installation.

3.0 SEQUENCE OF WORK


• Turn off the CV and release water at particular CV. After release water and start
dismantle the existing 4’’ main pipe and temporary plug off. After plug off and re-
pressurize sprinkler system back.
• Dismantle the existing upright sprinkler point c/w range pipe & main pipe. Replace
new 8’’ main & 3’’ range pipe at staging warehouse.
• To install new 6’’ main pipe and range pipe at compartment 1. When ceiling
installation done at compartment 1 then continue install sprinkler point below
ceiling.
• Hacking and punch thru the wall above office at compartment 1 in order to tapping
the new main pipe at existing CV.
• After install the new 8’’ main pipe and will start install the New CV tapping from
existing CV.
• Turn off the existing CV and release water in order to tapping the New CV at
existing CV.
• After finish tapping and re-pressurize the sprinkler system.

4.0 MANPOWER

b) Site Safety Supervisor
c) Skilled and General Workers.

5.0 INSPECTION
Compliance with Statutory Regulations
• New installation shall be inspected by the competent or supervisor before they are
handover for client and shall sign the test reports.

6.0 SAFETY & ENVIRONMENT


6.1 SAFETY
The following item are deemed the safe working practice and should be observed by all
workers as well as contractors’ workmen who are engaged to carry out within the
company’s or client’s premises.
a) Wear only approved safety shoes, safety goggles.
d) Wear safety helmet at construction site all the time.
e) Wear Safety Harness hooked at rigid support / lifeline while working at height above
2meter.
f) Work in buddy system when going up in ladder.
g) Make sure all Ladders and electrical equipment’s with proper inspection tag by SSS and
Electrical Team.

6.2 ENVIRONMENT
All workers shall be responsible and ensure that the site works carried out shall conform to
the Employer’s Environment Policy and comply with the Malaysian Environment Act 1974
and any other Federal and State Government Act.

Hence always all workers shall ensure that;


a) Ensure that existing services are not damaged and are maintained in good order.
b) Take effective actions in preventing occupied adjacent buildings or land and the
general public from any danger, discomfort, disturbances, or nuisance;
c) Take effective measures to reduce nuisance from dust during the site works;
d) Take effective measures to minimize noise from the works.
