What is Modern Philosophy?
emphasizes effectiveness over efficiency and
teaches children how to learn and integrate
disciplines, and to solve problems collaboratively,
rather than to sit at desks facing forward, moving
from subject to subject in isolation.

What is Perennialism?
perennial- everlasting wisdom
a very conservative and inflexible philosophy of
education
emphasize the importance of transferring
knowledge and skills from the older generation to
the younger one.

Perennialists believes that the focus of education
should be the ideas that have lasted over centuries.

They recommend that students learn from reading


and analyzing the works by history’s finest
thinkers and writers.
