Reported or indirect speech is usually used to talk about the past, so we normally

change the tense of the words spoken. We use reporting verbs like 'say', 'tell', 'ask', and

we may use the word 'that' to introduce the reported words.

Reported speech

 It is used to report or write down what somebody has said.

 It is usually used for writing, so we don’t really have to wory about all the crazy
gramar rules when we speak.

 We use reported speech to report something that happened / occured recently.

Active and Passive Voice: When the subject of a sentence performs the verb’s

action, we say that the sentence is in the active voice.

Sentences in the active voice have a strong, direct, and clear tone.

Active voice means that a sentence has a subject that acts upon its verb.

A passive voice sentence begins with direct object. The passive voice is always
constructed with a conjugated form of to be plus the verb’s past participle.
