WHAT WAS EDUCATION LIKE IN


PRIMITIVE SOCIETIES?

• ‫قديما كانت تعمل القبيلة على تعليم اطفالهم اساليب العيش وتقاليد القبيلة منذ‬
‫بداية حياته حيث كانت تختلف تربيه البنات عن البنين حيث يتعلم الصبي صيد‬
‫الحيوانات والقتال وصنع االسلحة اما البنات يتعلمون رعاية االطفال واعداد‬
‫الطعام وصنع المالبس‬
• In the past, the tribe used to teach their children the ways of
living and the traditions of the tribe since the beginning of
his life, as the upbringing of girls was different from that of
boys, as boys learned to hunt animals, fight, and make
weapons, while girls learned to care for children, prepare
food, and make clothes.

OBJECTIVES OF EDUCATION IN

‫تدريب الفرد على القيام بأعمال القبيلة من الصيد وجمع الثمار للعيش‬
Training the individual to do the tribal work of hunting
and gathering for livelihood
‫تعليم االفراد عادات وتقاليد القبيلة‬
Teaching individuals the customs and traditions of the
tribe
‫اشراك الفرد في الحفالت واالعياد الدينية‬
Involving the individual in religious parties and holidays
‫اشعار الفرد باألمن وانه كائن ذا قيمه‬
The individual feels secure and that he is a valuable being

1-‫التدريب الالزم للحصول على ضروريات الحياه وبناء عالقات طيبه مع افراد‬

2-‫التدريب على انواع العبادة الالزمة لالرضاء االرواح والتقرب اليها‬

Training on the types of worship necessary to satisfy souls and


draw closer to them

DISADVANTAGES OF EDUCATION
IN PRIMITIVE SOCIETIES

• ،‫أّنها كانت تسعى الستمرار العرف السائد في الجماعة دون تغيير أو تعديل‬
‫ دون أن يكون له مجال الحرية أو‬،‫وتحاول تشكيل الفرد بالثقافة المحيطة به‬
‫االختيار‬.

• It was seeking to continue the prevailing custom in the


group without change or modification, and was trying to
shape the individual with the culture surrounding him,
without him having the scope of freedom or choice.

TYPES OF EDUCATION IN
PRIMITIVE SOCIETIES

• Education was divided into two types


‫وهي التي تقوم على تربيه قدره االنسان الجسدية لسد الحاجات‬: ‫التربية العملية‬
‫االساسية ويقوم بها الوالدان واالسرة‬

Practical education :is based on raising a person's physical


ability to meet basic needs and is carried out by parents and the
family.

‫ هي التي يقوم بها شيخ القبيلة او الكاهن من خالل اقامه الحفالت‬:‫التربية النظرية‬
‫الدينية وانشطه العبادة‬

Theoretical education: is carried out by the tribal sheikh or priest


through holding religious ceremonies and worship activities.

FORMS OF EDUCATION IN
PRIMITIVE SOCIETIES

• Education was divided into 3 forms



• ‫ كان يترك الكبار لألطفال حريه اللعب من اجل تقليد الكبار‬: ‫التربية الجسدية‬
‫في االعمال التي يقومون بها مثل صناعه االسلحة وصيد الحيوانات‬

• Physical education: Adults left the children free to play in
order to imitate the adults in the work they did, such as
making weapons and hunting animals .

• ‫ هدفها جعل الطفل ذكر ام انثى قادرا على تلبيه حاجته‬:‫التربية الفكرية العلمية‬
‫وحاجات اسرته فيما بعد‬

• Scientific intellectual education: aims to make the child,
whether male or female, able to meet his needs and the
needs of his family later on.

• ‫ حيث انهم كانوا يحترمون شيوخ القبيلة واتصفوا‬: ‫التربية الخلقية والدينية‬
‫بأفضل الصفات مثل الصدق والوفاء‬

• Moral and religious education: as they respect the elders of
the tribe and were characterized by the best qualities such
as honesty and loyalty.

EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS IN
PRIMITIVE SOCIETIES

• ‫ هي التي تتولى امر التعليم العملي له حيث يقوم االب بتعليم اوالده‬:‫االسرة‬
‫ويدربهم على القتال وصنع األسلحة اما االم فتعلم بناتها اعمال المنزل‬

• The family: is responsible for his practical education, as the
father teaches his children and trains them to fight and
make weapons, while the mother teaches her daughters
housework.

• ‫ هم الذين يقومون بالتربية النظرية فهم المسؤولين عن توجيه‬:‫الكهنة والسحرة‬
‫سلوك القبيلة والقيام بالعبادات واالحتفاالت الدينية‬

• Priests and magicians: are the ones who carry out
theoretical education. They are responsible for directing the
behavior of the tribe and carrying out religious worship and
ceremonies.
