conception of “Kasaysayan”
• Kasaysayan- ka/saysay/an/ “salaysay”

• Kasaysayan – isang salaysay ng mga pangyayari sa


nakaraan na may saysay para sa isang partikular na
grupo ng tao (PILIPINO) na naninirahan sa kasalukuyan.

• Mayroon na tayong konsepto ng kasaysayan bago pa


malaman ang salitang “history”

• Magkaiba ang empasis o locus ng history at kasaysayan,


ang una ay sumasaklaw sa kabuuan ng nakaraan at
kronika, ang huli ay sa “saysay.”

forgotten cultures of past civilizations and reliving it in
the present.

person being studied.

imagining things.
