Records & Documents E-Portfolio

PURPOSE FOR THE ASSESSMENT


This assessment offers teacher candidates an opportunity to research the categories of records and documents used in the schools across
Guyana. Each candidate will create an e-portfolio using the information garnered from their investigation.
The portfolio must include all of the following:
1. the two categories of records and all the documents that are classified under each.
2. the purpose for each document listed under the categories.
3. regulations governing the use and maintenance of each record.
4. samples of each record/document listed (pictures or created samples). NB. Include the registers completed in week #3 of the
course.
For tasks 2, 3 & 4 focus on 8 class records and 12 whole school records.
5. feedback from each of the following persons on their view on their perspective and experience of using these records -
1. A Headteacher (Whole school records & documents)
2. A class/form teacher (class records)
NB. You can structure interview questions or a questionnaire to garner the information above.
General details of the above-mentioned persons must be provided (school, status & class (in the case of class teachers).

NB. This assessment accounts for 20% of your overall grade.

To calculate 20%, you divide student’s grade by 2. Eg. If a student scored 30 out of 40, you divide 30 by 2 which will equal 15 out of
20. Therefore, 15 is the student’s grade for E Portfolio.
