Short Story: "The Waste Warriors' Code"

Once upon a time in the bustling town of Cleanville, people had a special way of keeping their
homes tidy and joyful. It was known as the "Waste Warriors' Code." Children and adults, all proud
Waste Warriors, followed the code to make sure their town stayed spick and span. They knew that
waste had its own special home: the Blue Bin for recycling, the Green Bin for compost, and the Red
Bin for everything else.

Every morning, families would come together to sort their waste. The Blue Bin happily accepted
paper, glass, and plastic, ready to be turned into something new and exciting. The Green Bin
welcomed food scraps and leaves, which transformed into rich soil to help gardens grow. The Red
Bin, the hero of general waste, cared for everything else, ensuring it didn't clutter the town.

Guide Questions:

2.How can proper storage of waste materials help
the community?
3. What environmental problems we may face when
we don't practice proper storage and disposal of
waste?

What is storage?
Storage is the action or method of storing something for future use. –Oxford dictionary.
Explain the proper way of storing each presented material.
C. Presenting Did you know?
examples/ Rice handling and storage losses are estimated at nearly 900,000 MT/year
instances of the Guide Questions:
new lesson. 1. What is your opinion about the losses of rice back
(ENGAGE) In 2018 in the Philippines?
2. How can we avoid the problems of spillage and poor storage of rice?
3. Do you think that 6.5% or approximately 1.25 million Metric tons out of 19.28 million metric tons
of palay is a big loss to the Filipinos?

G. Finding Activity
practical Team activity: "Storage Device Group Discussion"
applications of Each group's task is to prepare a brief presentation and engage in a discussion about their assigned
concepts and storage type. You can use a maximum of 3 smartphones with an internet connection to do research in
skills in daily every group. The time allotment for the group discussion is 10 minutes and minutes for the reporting.

b. Secondary Storage Group: Explain what primary storage is and provide examples. Discuss 1
advantage and 1 limitation of Secondary storage.
c. Tertiary Storage Group: Explain what primary storage is and provide examples. Discuss 1
advantage and 1 limitation of Tertiary storage.
d. Cloud Storage Group: Explain what primary storage is and provide examples. Discuss 1
advantage and 1 limitation of cloud storage.
e. Comparative Analysis Group: This group’s task is to listen to the presentations of the other four
groups and create a comparative analysis. Compare the advantages and disadvantages of each storage
type and decide which type of storage is the best.
