Machines)

 What is the song all about?

 What things are mentioned in the song?
(Teachers write the answers on the board)
C. Presenting Exploration:
Examples/Instances of new (Call 5 students that will pick fruits)
lesson Direction: Some machines are so simple that we do not even realize that they
are machines. Pick a fruit and identify each simple machine described
below. Write the answers on the board.

2. Machine for cutting paper.
3. Machine used for moving sand from one place to another.
4. Machine used for pulling nails.

D. Discussing new concepts and (Integration of Literacy (English) and Numeracy Skills (Mathematics) and IMO – National
practicing new skills #1 Women’s Month---PP No. 227, s.1198 )

Explanation:
Direct Instruction:
Teacher will display and state the different examples of simple machines
through power point presentation.

Simple Machines make the work easier.

(Teacher will tackle that there are six (numeracy) types of simple machines)

Traditionally, the dominating social role of the woman was as housewife.

And being a housewife is not an ordinary role, it takes a lot of patience to
finish all the household chores. To make these workloads easier, we use
simple machines in our house like can opener, washing machine, push cart in
groceries and etc. (Observance: National Women’s Month---PP No. 227, s.1198)

practicing new skills #2
Pantomime Strips: Orient the pupils about pantomime. Have each group
pick a strip from the fishbowl. While a representative is pantomiming the rest
of the groups should guess the kind of simple machine and their uses. Every
correct answer of the group will be given point/praises.

 Unlocking of Difficulties:
Pantomime ( /ˈpan(t)əˌmīm/) --- is a dramatic entertainment, originating in Roman mime,
in which performers express meaning through gestures accompanied by music.

F. Developing mastery (Integration of Contextualization, and Localization)

(Leads to Formative
Assessment) Plan It Out: “Damage Building/House”

The pupils will identify all the simple machines needed to repair the
building/house.
How these damaged buildings will be repaired? What are the simple
machines needed?

* The entire second floor of the city’s public supermarket was razed by an hour-long
fire of still unknown origin at dawn on Wednesday of Apr. 1, 2020. The blaze was

Proclamation No. 115-A, signed by then-President Ferdinand E. Marcos. This event
was happened a day after the observance of fire-prevention month.
