I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:
a. Understand the concept of congruent triangles.
b. Identify the corresponding parts of congruent triangles.
c. Solve problems involving corresponding parts of congruent triangles.
II. CONTENT
A. Topic: Solving Corresponding Parts of Congruent Triangles
B. Materials: Hand-outs, Pen, Tarpaper, laptop
C. Reference: Math-Quarter 3

III. PROCEDURE
A. Preparatory Activities
1. Daily Routine
a. Prayer
b. Greetings
c. Checking of Attendance
d. Quick “Kamustahan”

B. Motivation
The teacher will show different pairs of triangles and ask students to identify
whether they are congruent or not.

Questions:

1. Can you identify which pairs of triangles are congruent?

2. How can you tell if two triangles are congruent?
3. What are the corresponding parts of these congruent triangles?

C. Lesson Proper

 The teacher will introduce the concept of congruent triangles and

corresponding parts.
 The teacher will illustrate how to solve problems involving
corresponding parts of congruent triangles.

Activity: Solving Triangle Problems

Task: Solve the given problems involving corresponding parts of
congruent triangles.

D. Procedure
Step 1: The teacher will explain the concept of congruent triangles and
how to identify their corresponding parts.
Step 2: The teacher will illustrate how to solve problems involving
corresponding parts of congruent triangles.
Step 3: The students will then be given a set of problems to solve on their
own.
IV. Application
The teacher will ask the students to create their own problems involving
corresponding parts of congruent triangles and solve them.

V. Generalization
The teacher will summarize the main points of the lesson, emphasizing the
concept of congruent triangles and how to solve problems involving their
corresponding parts.

VI. EVALUATION

Directions: Solve the following problems involving corresponding parts of

congruent triangles:
1. Given two congruent triangles ABC and DEF, if AB = 5 cm, BC = 6 cm,
and AC = 7 cm, find the lengths of DE, EF, and DF.
2. Given two congruent triangles XYZ and LMN, if angle X = 60 degrees
and angle Y = 80 degrees, find the measures of angles L, M, and N.
VII. ASSIGNMENT
Create and solve five different problems involving corresponding parts of
congruent triangles. Show your work and provide detailed solutions.
VIII. REFLECTION

A. Number of learners who earned

80% on the formative
assessment.

B. Number of learners who require

additional activities for
remediation

C. Did the remedial lesson work?

No. of learners who caught up
with the lessons

D. No. of learners who require

remediation.

E. Which of my teaching strategies

worked well? Why did these
works?

F. What difficulties did I

encounter? Which my principal
or supervisor can help me solve?

G. What innovation of localized

materials did I use/discover
which I wish to share with other
teachers?
