COURSE SYLLABUS / LEARNING PLAN SCHOOL YEAR 2023-2024

VISION A research university with a culture of excellence in developing globally competitive and values-oriented leaders and
professionals.
MISSION To provide research – based quality education, innovations, and collaborative extension services for sustainable national
and international development.
CORE VALUES H – Humility
E – Excellence
A – Accountability
R – Resiliency
T – Trustworthiness
GOAL OF THE PROGRAM The Electrical Engineering program aims to deliver quality instruction, training and relevant ICT applications; conduct
research, extension and production; promote climate change adaptation, gender sensitivity, spirituality and nationalism;
strengthen local and global linkages; and support institutional development programs.
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION Electrical Engineering is a profession that applies the basic principles of science in conjunction with mathematical and
computational tools to solve problems associated with developing and sustaining civilized life on our planet. Electrical
Engineering works are generally one-of-a-kind projects, they are often grand in scale; and they usually require
cooperation among professionals of many different disciplines. The completion of electrical engineering project involves
the solution of technical problems in which information from numerous sources and myriad non-technical factors play a
significant role. Some of the most common examples of electrical engineering works include , types of lights, luminaries,
electrical systems for residential, electrical system for industrial and commercial types, AC and DC machines
constructions and applications, distribution line systems, electrical energy generation systems including alternative
sources, transmission line systems, motor control systems, transformer designs and applications, electrical energy
quality and auditing, electronic systems, and communication systems. Enumeration of any work in this section shall not
be construed as excluding any other work requiring electrical engineering knowledge and application.
PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES 1. Produce quality electrical engineering graduates equipped with necessary knowledge and skills in basic engineering,
planning, design, installation, management and maintenance of various structures.
2. Extend electrical engineering services such as planning, design, installation, and other types of electrical engineering work to
the community.
3. Strengthen linkages with various local, national and international government and non-government agencies.
