ตาแดง คันตา คันจมูก คันคอ จาม ในโรคเยื่อจมูกอักเสบหรือ
ไข้ละอองฟาง - ใช้เพื่อบรรเทาทางผิวหนัง คัน ผื่นลมพิษ
ข้อบ่งใช้ /ขนาดยา  อายุ 6-23 เดือน รับประทานวันละ 1 ครั้ง ครั้งละ 2.5
มิลลิกรัม แต่สามารถเพิ่มปริมาณเป็นวันละ 2 ครั้ง ครั้งละ
2.5 มิลลิกรัมได้ เมื่อเด็กมีอายุ 12 เดือนขึ้นไป

 อายุ 2-5 ปี รับประทานวันละ 5 มิลลิกรัม วันละ 1 ครั้ง หรือ

แบ่งเป็นครั้ง 2.5 มิลลิกรัม 2 ครั้งต่อวัน

 อายุ 6 ปี ขึ้นไป รับประทานวันละ 10 มิลลิกรัม 1 ครั้ง หรือ

แบ่งเป็น ครั้งละ 5 มิลลิกรัม 2 ครั้งต่อวัน

pharmacotherapy
Route of Administation
Pharmacokinetics Cetirizine is absorbed rapidly in the
gastrointestinal tract and undergoes substantial
excretion by the kidney. Cetirizine reaches peak
plasma concentration after approximately one
hour. Its effects typically begin after 20 to 60
minutes and persist for at least 24 hours.
Notably, cetirizine does not undergo significant
metabolism and is not a metabolite of the
CYP450 system.

Aadjust for renal insufficiency -
Pregnancy-Lactation It is US FDA pregnancy category B medicine.
Occasional and small doses of cetirizine are
acceptable while breastfeeding. Prolonged use of
larger doses may cause a decrease in the milk
supply or drowsiness and other adverse effects in
the infant, particularly in combination with
pseudoephedrine.

เป็นต้น ส่วนผลข้างเคียงที่รุนแรงก็สามารถพบได้เช่นกัน ได้แก่

 หัวใจเต้นผิดปกติ
 เหนื่อย มีอาการสั่น หรือนอนไม่หลับ
 มีอาการอยู่ไม่สุข ตื่นตัวอยู่ตลอดเวลา
 มีอาการมึนงง
 มีปัญหาในเรื่องการมองเห็น
 ปัสสาวะน้อย หรือไม่ปัสสาวะเลย
ข้อห้ามใช้ Cetirizine is contraindicated in anyone with a
known hypersensitivity to it or any of its
ingredients. Cetirizine is also contraindicated in
anyone with a known hypersensitivity to
hydroxyzine, as cetirizine is a metabolite of
hydroxyzine.
